    I did. I went back to the stock insoles. Like you mentioned, it makes little sense to put in something with an artificial foot shape in a boot that was made for your foot.

    For the base layer just go to target. You don’t need anything super performance wicking blah blah like you might as a player.

    Man those are $280-ish. I think for the price difference I’d just go with the Sparx case. Not even so much for the machine, but so the accessories fit perfectly too.

    Wait, what did you have on under your stripes before? Just a short sleeve t-shirt? Depending on the level (and therefore how much you're having to move) I'd probably be going with lighter or heavier base layer under-armor style shirts. Just make sure the logo isn't visible at your neck. Yes, Official's registration is totally a separate thing. Since you're (probably) too late to take a seminar (there may still be some running but most are in the fall), I think I'd wait for the next season to start up before paying.

    I do 2 or 4 passes before every game. Quite excessive obviously, but being a goalie I have a lot of nicks from the posts I have to try to get out. It IS great for me, now that you mention it! Wouldn't surprise me. That would be an interesting thing to document. Mine are 3/8 and like I said, on Step black steel.

    My Step Blacksteel doesn’t burr at all. I just wipe with a towel and I’m done.

    At the time I was still going to noicing for sharpening (would never use them now though) and I just had them do a “slight negative”, if I recall correctly. It helped a ton.

    I felt the same in Makos. Way too much on my toes. I had them profiled and it was never a problem again. Maybe you’d be a good candidate for the MSH Prosharp project!

    Are both 1 and 2 being caused by the skates, or were they prior issues? 1 - yes 2- possibly, worth a try.

    Probably only option is contacting True as you've already done. Maybe call their customer service? They're probably overwhelmed by people emailing them asking for status instead of their LHS

    And that's totally fine. Rob went out of his way for me when I first got my VH back in the day, too (granted there was no LHS middle-man at that point). But expecting long detailed messages from their customer service is probably a bit of a stretch. Just use a bit of common sense, like it appears you are in your case. Some others aren't so much.

    Also keep in mind they aren't SUPPOSED to be communicating with the end customer. That's what retailers are for. So you should expect fairly terse answers.
