Well, I had considered taking a season off and that was BEFORE I had a meltdown in our last, completely meaningless, game of the season (an exhibition game because we weren't in the finals). That made it easy to just say I'm done after the game. That was two weeks ago. I'm itching to get back on the ice. I'm already confirmed for this Sunday but I'm not sure how I feel about actually doing it. I actually am starting to think that having the "schedule my life AROUND beer league hockey" thing could be contributing to it. I mean, I always had a hard time understanding why people would say they're out for a game if they were in town. Like, "what could possibly be more important?" kind of reaction. Every week was a "I can't, I have hockey" type of thing for me. A HUGE part of that is that I'm the goalie. If I just choose to take a night off, I can't just click the "out" button in our app, I have to tell the captain and he has to find a replacement. I once flew home from South Africa, via a layover in the UK, and played the night I landed. I was in town so there was no reason to miss the game, right? I also think I may be suffering from a bit of depression (is suffering the right word when you're describing yourself? It sounds so "poor me"...) I hate just about everyone and everything these days. lol wut

This is an easy one. Tampa in 4. I really think Tampa/Montreal would have been a much more entertaining series. Columbus is a mediocre team that backed their way into the playoffs.

Prefacing this with the fact that this is the one series that matters to me as a Leafs fan. I'm going Boston in 6. The Leafs have more talent, more depth, and better goaltending... but they have been atrocious down the stretch and the talent and the goaltending haven't been able to bail them out of their issues. You won't be able to outscore other teams in the playoffs in 6-5 games, either. Boston isn't the juggernaut the Toronto media is making them out to be, but I think it's more a matter of which of the two completely different styles works better in the playoffs. That advantage goes to Boston for sure.

Caps in 7. The bunch of jerks from Carolina will give Washington all they can handle but the Caps will come out on top.

Penguins in 6. Over-achieving teams don't generally make it far in the playoffs.

Predators in 5. I don't know anything about Dallas but Nashville has been pretty good for a few years now.

Blues in 7. I can't believe I'm not taking the Jets here but something about the Blues worries me.

Flames in 5. Colorado has one line and will manage to win one game at home.

Vegas in 6. They got better as the season went on, and the Sharks stumbled.
