I'd like one for myself also. The silver lining, for me, is that I could write this off on my taxes being a referee ha. It's an impressive item. -
Guitar stuff or what ever you play

Since I've last posted to this thread, I've acquired 2 Martin guitars: 000-17SM and HD-35. Get to use both for church. -
Mike Fisher hangs 'em up....

That seems more than feasible. With this so-so job market, beggars can't be choosers.- 6 replies

Ah. That never crossed my mind. It could be. I know I saw an article talking about the same thing in regards Shane Doan and Jarome Iginla.- 6 replies

https://www.nhl.com/news/nashville-predators-sign-ryan-johansen-to-contract/c-290185014?tid=281072352 I think this happened over SJ9 weekend: $8M AAV through 2024-25. It does look like Ryan Johansen is coming into his own. It looks like both CBJ and NSH have, and will, benefit from the Seth Jones-RJ trade.

https://www.nhl.com/news/mike-fisher-announces-retirement-from-nhl/c-290578282 Say it ain't so haha. After 17 years, Fisher looks to move on the the next chapter of his life. Good for him. Definitely was a pro's pro.

Beautiful save at the 4:30 mark. And I blame my lack of hustle on my socks being way too big haha. Nice vid. -
Only been to Boston a couple of times back in my 'prime' as a hockey player and instantly connected with the city. Look forward to when I get to visit again.

Absolutely. And I was so bummed when the same size didn't work for me in the Mako II's and timing wasn't on my side. -

Ah. I see. Pretty much. I had the original Mako skates and loved them. Got rid of them only because one boot cracked and the other one wasn't too far off. I got a pair of Mako II skates in the same size and it didn't fit nearly as well. I couldn't find any Mako II's that I could work with size-wise so I went over the Bauer 1X's. I like them but like the Mako fit/performance better. The TRUE skates will be my replacement when the time comes. I was impressed with the build. And to see that more pros are wearing these skates brings some credence to point of giving them a shot. -

My man! Job well done. Is that a Flyers Skate Zone? If it is, which one? -

Totally agree! As Mako fans, this is the skate we've been looking for. -
Not sure why one would be so concerned about his defensive skills when he puts up points. But who am I ha? I'd leave him at wing. CBJ has other plans.
-
I could be wrong but I'd think Panarin is better off playing the wing. It gives him more room to do his thing offensively.

I'm in no need of new skates, but I like what I'm seeing out of TrueVH. When I'm due for a new pair, I hope to be able to try out this new process. -
That would make sense then. Oh well. One should expect him to be playing in the NHL in 2018-19.
-
No doubt. The reality though: a return > no return. I still don't see why NJ didn't do anything (assuming that it is too late to do anything this off-season).
-
I feel that NJ should move him for something than lose him next year, getting nothing. Ilya can still play in the NHL. Maybe not at the same clip we witnessed during his time in ATL/NJ, but he is still a legitimate scoring threat.

The Edmonton Oilers have locked up their 20-year-old franchise player, as the team announced Wednesday that its has signed captain Connor McDavid to an eight-year, $100 million contract extension. TSN Hockey The signing we were all keeping an eye on. I don't blame Connor for looking to get paid. I know most people will say it is selfish for him to do so. I say that you've put in the work to put yourself in this position to capitalize on the leverage you hold. It's up to EDM's management/ownership to figure out how divvy out the rest of the money under the cap (which we expect to go up as time goes on). Next up: Leon Draisaitl.
