  1. Yea, I've noticed it before and noticed again recently when Nolan Patrick's first NHL goal wasn't shown on the recap haha... All about greed. Sad but true...
  2. More of a pet peeve here: NHL.com should show EVERY goal that happens in a game for each respective Recap highlight video. I can see the League cutting short highlights on the NHL Network. But if I'm going out of my way to go to every box score to see each game's highlights, I've got to see every goal. When I was in college (not that long ago) the NHL Network used to show every goal on NHL On The Fly. If you don't do it on TV anymore (which I disagreed with), do it online. It baffles me how little things like that get overlooked.
  3. Hope they don't rush production. Regardless, it's a good problem to have.
  4. Haha we all had to do it in some shape or form. It will be worth it. Get evaluated from knowledge people and know the rulebook. You will have many more doubters than supporters every time you step out on the ice so do what you can off the ice to prepare yourself.
  5. Haha yea, the updated website takes some getting use to. You are one step closer...
  6. Dave Strader. Completely missed the news that he was dealing with cancer. One of my favorite guys to listen to because I felt he was good at using just the right amount of words to announce a game. More the exception in the current day of sports TV.
  7. I like the signing. I saw how much better Giroux was when Jags played here in Philly. It was a couple of years ago but I do think he bring a desirable veteran presence for the kids...
  8. I'd imagine he wanted to. From guys I know who work minor league hockey, they are usually given buckets, sweaters and pants. Could be wrong though...
  9. That may be the biggest issue right there haha. Unless every player who shows up is either a stud and/or a ringer, you, the goalie, will automatically be called on to do more than you really should. The perfect roster number for beer league is 10 skaters and one kicker (slang name I picked in college for "goalie"). Even with that number, you'd need at least 7 players who know what they are doing. The only way you should be blamed is if you are letting in goals from center ice haha. I think you just have a less than fortunate manifesting itself every game. Has nothing to do with the person in the defending crease.
  10. That is a brutal record. Is that on you more so on the team or vice versa?
  11. The biggest issue I've had with skates is the toe box. What skates have you worn to use as comparison? Interested to hear more about this from you (and others) about this. Congrats.
  12. Always nice to watch highlights again on NHL.com haha.
  13. Thanks. I'd rather have a customer tell me this though haha.
  14. Thanks. I'll probably pull the trigger in November or December. Looking forward to it.
  15. Haha it's a start and glad to hear that. Between coaching, officiating and playing, I'd be using my unit frequently. I can tolerate the expense(s) that come with ownership given the tax benefit and convenience. Durability would be my ONLY reason to pass on Sparx. Anyone using it for a family? Team?
  16. Is there an advantage to using the A6.0 SBP Standard shaft vs. the Tapered shaft?
  17. Sweet. I'd like to pull the trigger some time this year. Durability is still my concern (somewhat).
  18. I don't know if this is the right place to ask but where does the Alpha Force Pro Stick fall in the current lineup?
  19. That's a healthy shiner haha.
  20. Haha well I know that liked the Covert QRL (W28 - 75 flex) stick that I demoed at SummerJam 9 and looking forward to the updated version coming in Summer 2018. I tried on both flagship gloves and really liked the Alpha QXs over the Covert QRLs. I don't know if I'd ever go over to the tapered glove. I'm also interested in trying the Pro Tapered blade (have several OPSs that broke at the blade) and the Dynasty girdle.
  21. My parents immigrated to the States in the late 80's and got naturalized in 2011. Any time you can get US citizenship, its a sweet thing my man. Hope things go smoothly for you.
