  1. I'm a huge fan the Ducks' throwback logo. Not a fan of the updated sweater they are putting it on. The 'Yotes sweater/logo throwback is one of my favs.
  2. I didn't get a chance to play Junior B till my senior year of high school (started out at Junior C and got called up). That was my last year of Juniors and kinda wish I had the chance to age out. Still felt it was worth it because I see the game better than I would have if I had just played Tier II Midgets here down in the States. If you can afford it, I'd go Junior B. Between the travel, workout regiment and overall skill, I always enjoyed my 2 years at Juniors in comparison to my 4 years of travel.
  3. https://www.nhl.com/kings/news/la-kings-agree-to-terms-with-ilya-kovalchuk-on-3-year-contract/c-299219964 Kovy is headed to L.A. The Kings definitely need offense and Kovy will have a good support system around him. Good to see him back in the NHL.
  4. Nice. That's been my experience so far with them. I go back and forth between ice and inline it was important to me that inline not get in the way of how I skate (regardless how bad) on ice. Getting outside would be nice though. Good cardio that beats running ha.
  5. This is why I buy flagship sticks out of season. I can get these sticks for under $150 and get 6 months out of them. I couldn't see myself spending any more than that with number of options on the open market.
  6. I've loosen mine quite a bit just because the aggressive pitch the Graf 705 + Marsblade presents. Couple that with reality that I skate (incorrectly) on my toes, a looser rocker was a must for me.
  7. OVI! OVI! OVI! Happy for him Nikki Backs. T.J.. Happy for guys like that. Fun series. On to the draft: hoping my Flyers don't screw it up haha..
  8. It will be interesting to see how VGK responds. We've seen WSH take the foot off the pedal when things are going their way (from a series record perspective) and claw their way back. What we haven't seen yet is VGK dig themselves out of a hole. What we can bank on is every win is going to be earned by either team.
  9. Wilson I get. But Kuzy haha? How come him?
  10. Happy for Ovi and rooting for him to raise the Cup.
  11. The Caps look like a team on a mission. Extremely impressive: never knew that had it in them.
  12. Please do: hearing real world reviews is what this forum is all about.
  13. White boards don't glitch and are more cost effective haha. That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to using technology if there was enough time/space to do so.
  14. No doubt. He still has a couple more years left on his contract: we'll see if he changes his mind. That's a lot of losing that is due to come his way.
  15. I agree with that. I just look at their current roster and wonder where the goal scoring is going to come from. And with Hank on the books for another 3 seasons, I'd think they'd want to make the team somewhat competitive.
  16. I don't think that they've had attendance issues but I could imagine that Rangers aren't exactly doing back flips when it comes to thinking of the organization's future. Having Kovy on your roster for the 2018-19 season would create some buzz. Does it mean anything for the long-term future? Probably not haha.
  17. I've been using mine for a couple months and really like them. Just feels more natural when it comes taking strides.
  18. Glad for Ovi. I want him to win a Cup. Probably won't happen but he is one of my favorite non-Flyers players and have always been a fan of his. Looking forward to the TB-WSH showdown.
  19. I think WPG would be the tougher matchup. That being said, VGK just plays good, sound hockey. Its really impressive.
  20. People will do anything to validate their "point" haha.
  21. Is this really that confusing haha? The fact that you don't seem to understand what we are talking about is baffling. No one is saying that regular season success = playoff success when it comes to a goalie. What we are saying is that you need good goaltending to win a Cup. How you don't seem to grasp that is beyond me. There are other facets to a Cup-winning team but you still can't give an example of a goalie who played less than fantastic OVERALL to get 16 wins after the regular season is over.
  22. Those guys played fantastic in the playoffs. Were they great every game? No. Read what I'm writing. A goalie can have a fantastic run in the playoffs and be, overall, a mediocre goalie. A goalie can also play lights out and still lose. Why? Because like I said, goaltending is a significant factor. That doesn't mean its the ONLY factor. You can hand pick a game here or there. No goalie has gone 16-0. At least not to my knowledge.
  23. As a Flyers fan, I know all too well that goaltending is a significant factor. Is it the only factor? Of course not. But please give us one example of a team that won the Cup in the Modern Era that DIDN'T have fantastic goaltending. In some cases, you have a franchise 'tender in net. With others, the guy(s) get hot at the right time and the team rides that momentum into June.
  24. The fact that the Flyers go up 4-2 and end up losing 8-5 just shows the difference between the two teams. On a bum MCL, Couturier shows up when the team needs him the most. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for some of the other "key" figureheads. And to add insult to injury, what's up with the beer can throwers? You've never been to a game where your team loses? And then turn around and give the team a standing-O? Embarrassing if you ask me...
