  1. Spoken like a true hockey player haha.
  2. Eh. Sorry to hear that. Take care of those knees!!!
  3. In this case, American football. But football, or futbol, is a great sport too. Well, at least I, and most of the world, think so haha. To each their own ha.
  4. Hmm. I don't want to hi-jack this thread so we'll leave it at that haha.
  5. I could only imagine. I feel like I'm losing it and I'm 5 years removed from playing ACHA club hockey and immediately transitioned into adult hockey haha.
  6. That's a nice guitar my friend. I'm rooting for you. I'm praying that this summer I can get a full-size Martin. Would like to keep it under $1,000 and with so many options, I'll take the time to hear them all. Big fan of the GPCPA5. Intrigued by the DRSGT and DRS1/2. Yea, that is a trip that is long overdue for me. Only an hour or so drive from where I'm located.
  7. Adding to the collection: Martin LXME. I'm a Martin fanboy haha.
  8. For that long of a hiatus, you didn't look out of place.
  9. Miss playing competitive hockey. ACHA gave me a chance to play it for 4 more years. Hope you son has as much fun as I did: it goes by pretty fast!
  10. Hmmm. Yea, that sounds Match-worthy but I don't know if they wanted to deal with the paperwork haha.
  11. Good ol' men's league rules haha. I do wonder what the person must have done for you to think it was match penalty-worthy ha.
  12. Be ready to now sympathize with officials who work your men's league games now that you will be able to relate haha.
  13. Being able to go to NHL.com and watching highlights from the previous night. It's an annual occurrence, but it never gets old. I'll be doing the same within the next couple of months. Between officiating and school, it's practically a 'must' for me to given in ha.
  14. Hang in there. Just had my seminar this past Saturday. Still have to do the open book test and those elective thingermajigs. And now that I'm back in school, I'll SO much time on my hands haha. I guess the bonus is that, after my closed book test, I was outta there by 1 p.m. If the electives continue to shorten the brick 'n mortar seminars, I'm all for that.
  15. I would have to have been there to see what really happened. I can't imagine that they didn't let you team get away with obvious penalties based on what you are saying. Do refs make mistakes? Absolutely. Do they sometimes let stuff go that should be called? You betcha. Is at as bad as the team(s) that got 'hosed' say it was? Eh.
  16. That is a step in the right direction. I agree with you. That falls on the assignor(s) though. But as you know, politics always bares its ugly head in these situations. All I know is that people who aren't educated just blame the officials. How about teaching the players/coaches what they did wrong? Crazy ain't it? It's rare to see coaches and/or players focus on that. It ruins the learning experience that the youth level SHOULD have.
