Getting credit for Assists
215BroadStBullies610 replied to NiCnoK's topic in General Hockey Discussions
No doubt. I know its not every player: don't want to put everyone under that blanket statement haha. I do agree with you in regards to standings. In the one league I play in, the champion gets 15% or 20% off next season's league dues. -
Getting credit for Assists

I understand keeping data to track your improvement (hence your own GoPro and Apple Watch). Emailing the league to correct your stats shouldn't matter if you already know what your stats are ha. Regardless, my point is that you see this MORE at the lower levels. People caring about their stats that is. Players take penalties in beer league haha!? -
Getting credit for Assists

As one who both plays and officiates beer league, this is one of those issues that seem to bother as many people as it doesn't. From what I've observed: the lower the level, the more people care about primary and secondary apples. Why? My guess is that for the players who play at the lower levels, it is the highest level they've ever played in their "career" and points seem to matter to them more. I play in the highest leagues at two local rinks and officiate the levels below that at those plus another rink. I give out assists mainly to work on keeping track of the players involved in a particular goal (whether I'm reporting it or not) for higher level games I work. I do it also to show that I'm mentally engaged in that certain game that's at 10:45 p.m. on a Tuesday night haha. It shows the players that I'm not here just for a paycheck. Curious to hear others' input(s). -

The biggest issue I've had with skates is the toe box. What skates have you worn to use as comparison? Interested to hear more about this from you (and others) about this. Congrats. -
Oh okay. Thanks.

Is that for offset hips or something of that nature?

Always nice to watch highlights again on NHL.com haha.

Never heard to this. Not sure if it will make any difference. I do know that if I had a kid(s) who was dealing with concussions, I'd have to check this out. Hearing some of the stories from parents who have kids dealing with concussions, spending a couple of $100 bills seems to be worth it. Hopefully, it isn't a gimmick.

Typo?

As a Sixers' fan, I approve this message...

Haha it's a start and glad to hear that. Between coaching, officiating and playing, I'd be using my unit frequently. I can tolerate the expense(s) that come with ownership given the tax benefit and convenience. Durability would be my ONLY reason to pass on Sparx. Anyone using it for a family? Team? -

Is there an advantage to using the A6.0 SBP Standard shaft vs. the Tapered shaft? -

Sweet. I'd like to pull the trigger some time this year. Durability is still my concern (somewhat). -

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but where does the Alpha Force Pro Stick fall in the current lineup? -
That's a healthy shiner haha.

That's a good question. PG's setup is $150.00 USD - https://pghockey.com/product/2 I only saw the new Bauer pants on Great Skate and Official's Wearhouse during a quick internet search. I like the tapered cut/look but do wonder about the material of the pants and if the kidney protection is removable.

Haha well I know that liked the Covert QRL (W28 - 75 flex) stick that I demoed at SummerJam 9 and looking forward to the updated version coming in Summer 2018. I tried on both flagship gloves and really liked the Alpha QXs over the Covert QRLs. I don't know if I'd ever go over to the tapered glove. I'm also interested in trying the Pro Tapered blade (have several OPSs that broke at the blade) and the Dynasty girdle. -
My parents immigrated to the States in the late 80's and got naturalized in 2011. Any time you can get US citizenship, its a sweet thing my man. Hope things go smoothly for you.
