  1. I second the No Sweat liners. Incredibly thin yet works perfectly. I have one in my Re-Akt helmet and it doesn't effect the fit at all. They come in a 3-pack since you replace them after 3-4 games. I custom cut mine to keep the helmet vent holes open when I apply the No Sweat liner to the helmet.
  2. I skated in the Supreme MX3 at BauerWorld in October. There is a touch less volume in the skate I was using. I have been in the same size since forever and this was noticeable as I did not have on my usual skate sock. The skate felt awesome on ice.
  3. "In fact, the most common feedback we hear is that the skate wraps like nothing else, which also means it is harder to get your foot into." In fact, if you have ever seen a true speed skate boot, the fact that getting your foot into the boot is hard would not surprise you.
  4. As I said earlier, if you liked MLX, then you will love Mako. Think speedskate boot with a hockey application. The marriage has been consumated!
  5. According to the catalog and the presentation of the skate I was at, size 4 and up is being offered.
  6. No, this holder has been designed specifically for the Mako skate. The Razor Bladz will continue on all other models.
  7. I saw the skate this week. If you are an MLX guy, you will not be disappointed, The skate is taken to the next level in every aspect. Baking a skate for 16 minutes is only the beginning of what speed skates are baked for. Therefore, the technology crossover is obvious regarding bake time. After a boot was heated for the presentation, it was as soft and pliable as a sneaker. The ability to shape the boot then is what makes the fit so customized like nothing else.
  8. Custom glove for Americans team based on NYR colorway Single layer pro palm, pro lock thumb "http://s154.photobuc...urrent=nyr1.jpg" http://s154.photobuc...urrent=nyr2.jpg
  9. ^ Correct, that is a custom option with Eagle. I have done it a number of times for customers. You have to be exact on the length you want. There are no returns on custom Eagle gloves.
  10. Kindly ask them to get her kid under control or she will have to take him out of the store and leave!! There comes a point in retail situations when enough is simply enough. It is not fair to the other customers that you are trying to help in a normal professional manner.
  11. The hardest friends to lose are the ones you played hockey with. I've lost a few guys I skated with, too. Just a deep special bond among us. Sorry for your pain right now.........
  12. Women will always drive you crazy. Movin' on is the best advice you'll get.
  13. For the record, they are not mine. I just did the heavy lifting.
  14. X95, shortened fingers, minimal branding, clean look.
  15. I have the details back in the shop. This is a PPFi with 1/2" shortened fingers that are tapered 1/2" to 1/4". Eagle nailed it so they deserve the credit. This glove in length is incredibly short when the reduced cuff roll is added. Personally, I was afraid they wouldn't fit! I had never done a custom glove that tight in the hand. However, 90% of custom fit is trying on stock sizing, understanding exactly what you want and need to do to customize and optimize your personal fit, and then having the guts to pull the trigger. WSjo22 stepped up and did it! Adding the digital overlay on the right palm was a touch of subtle brilliance that should be SOP(standard operating procedure) in the future on any custom glove. I love the minimalist navy look as well. These gloves were worth the wait. Thanks again.
  16. Shortening the cuff and shortening the fingers are two separate custom upcharges. Shortening the fingers a bit can make a big difference in fit and comfort. Krev did a great job creating a unique glove without the branding.
  17. Yes and navy, not black. I like the gold palms.
  18. That would be a 7, not a 1.
  19. It had been awhile since this thread was active. I didn't want to start a separate thread and hear the fanboy bs. If any mods feel the need, be my guest. Your LHS dilemma is shared by many. Carry on and have a good night.
  20. I thought the comments were interesting and valid from the members. Considering that Bauer offers custom OPS and custom skates to those that want/need, I was interested in those members that might have had an interest in custom Bauer 4-rolls. Right now Eagle and Warrior are the only two North American companies offering this option. As a dealer seeing orders for custom Eagles and Warriors(I am not soliciting, seeking, or wanting members business. Go to your LHS!), I know this business is out there. I know members here as well as my customers will spend $250+ on custom gloves. I know they will wait 8-10 weeks to have these custom gloves delivered. My question was just to see if guys truly had interest if Bauer offered this route. While an Eagle top end is $200 retail and Warrior goes higher on retail Franchise, Bauer could perhaps be offering custom gloves at $100 more than a retail 4-roll. Would guys pony up the dough if they could get exactly what they wanted in a custom Bauer 4-roll? That is about as simple as I could put it. Speculation, prospecting, who gives a rat's ass. Take it for what it's worth and move on.
