  1. From what I have seen the VH skates were more pliable than the TRUE skates and as such many people feel they fit better but did not last as long.
  2. My mom was a private banker in Beverly Hills when he was at the height of his career and she was his personal banker. She was able to score me some signed Airwolf memorabilia from him when I was a kid because I loved that show.
  3. That is personal preference. You can put STEP on any holder.
  4. Do you have flat arches and the skate has too much of an arch built in?
  5. If you are due to get new steel it might make sense to spend a little cash to get the holders swapped too as they are quite nice. We have a few players skating on them and they like how stiff they are the quick change mechanism. Performance wise I haven't heard any players comment on better or worse.
  6. Yep. I always had mixed feelings about them.
  7. The same date the FT2 launches, end of April.
  8. @STEP_Official With other companies like RamonEdge and Flare making wider steel, has STEP considered getting into that market as well? I know this is not anything new, CCM released steel that was wider than 3mm about a decade ago and it didn't really "take off" but it seems with all of the advancements in skates that steel has stayed relatively ordinary.
  9. There is no way to determine if thats the best fit for you other than to change and test. 13' is nice but its quite long and requires strong legs and is really designed for big ice, like Olympic size. I would absolutely suggest trying the 12' and 11'
  10. Cut 2". Excellent condition. Asking $100 + shipping. Has the P92 max height blade.
  11. JetSpeed P29 75 Flex RH Cut 2" Used for a couple of drop-in games. Asking $90 + shipping
  12. Warrior QRE Edge 85 Flex W03 RH Cut 3" Barely used. Looks like new. Was sent as a demo/test stick for review. Asking $100 + shipping.
  13. Figured I would share this for people to understand the options available to them.
  14. They seem to be standard now.
  15. I have the XS holders and STEP as well. CCM has been shipping the new holders on a lot of the custom skates lately. All of the customs I have seen come into the shop lately had STEP.
  16. These came into the shop today https://www.instagram.com/p/Bufd1UdA_or/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  17. I use a small bit of clear on the top of the blade to make it a super snug fit. Basically, just put the clear tape on, clip in the blade, then use a razor to cut it so it's not visible.
  18. I also see a lot of issues with customers who get their VH/TRUE skates and then crank on the laces, and/or lace from the outside in, and/or use wax laces. I feel like non-waxed laces and lacing from the inside out allows the laces to slip a little and properly distribute the tightness across the entire facing of the skate. Also, as mentioned, you should pull them enough to remove the slack but it's not really necessary to crank down on the laces.
  19. Almost looks like he tapes it and then shaves the bottom portion of the tape off. I can't tell by this picture.
  20. I also wear ref stuff when coaching or going out to stick and puck.
