  1. Is there still slots open?
  2. CCM doesn't ask for a receipt and the entire satisfaction guarantee is actually handled by the store.
  3. If you use a seam stitch remover it's very easy to take out. Should take you less than a few minutes per each skate. Then use some goof off to remove the leftover adhesive that will be on the tongue to make it look clean.
  4. My assumption is the cost for them licensing to use 37.5 is just too costly or perhaps they are going to move to something like Filium. http://filium.com/technology/ I am a huge advocate of Filium so I hope to see more companies start to use it.
  5. I imagine. Though, 37.5 I think is going away pretty soon.
  6. I find the FT2 just fine. The FT1 was slightly too soft and the AS1 is wayyyyyy too stiff.
  7. I personally would warranty them. Regardless of how much time you spent getting them dialed in, they are of no use to you if they have a catastrophic failure.
  8. If he wants the extra work. Its literally a remove and replace job. But whatever floats his boat.
  9. The XS holes line up with the LS Edge and the VH/TRUE holder.
  10. I feel like the heel pocket is more pronounced. Not wider. They just made the entire pocket larger to accommodate more volume while still keeping it very snug in the upper heel and achilles section. If you go with 3D scanning then it really doesn't matter what skate you pick as they will size it appropriately, as per CCM. I think its more important to find the skate that provides you with the ideal skating stance and stiffness for your skating profile more than anything. They cant make an AS1 less stiff and you can't get the FT2 in a stiffer version.
  11. FT2 is slightly stiffer than then FT1, and I really do emphasizes slightly. Barely noticeable. The AS1 is MUCH stiffer than the Ft1 and FT2. Ill measure the boot height. I think the FT2 is maybe 1-2mm taller in the height but that could specifically be due to the comfort edge. I find the sizing, length, the same. A size 7.5 in an FT2 is the same as an AS1. Obviously, the width is different so in an AS1 In wear a 7.5D and in the FT2 I wear a 7.5EE.
  12. The Nexus and Supreme lines are going to "merge" and the Nexus line is slowly going to be phased out entirely over time. Similar to how CCM has the JetSpeed and the Tacks lines, Bauer will start doing the same.
  13. What a freaking nightmare. I have never seen anyone use any type of adhesive so strong before. I dont understand what they were thinking. It's not like silicone or something to hold it in place. I really dont understand why on earth they did this.
  14. Oven gets to 225F so it's pretty hot. I can't really go any hotter for fear of ruining the skate.
  15. I own a Conway and Banks bag and absolutely love it. Previously I had a Grit AirBox which was also nice but it did not wear very well. I think the Conway and Banks bags are well worth their price for the quality of the product. We sell them in our store and all of the customers who have bought them have been very happy.
  16. Well, I'm already committed to getting it finished and while going the mechanical route is an option I was hoping there might be a solvent option. Whatever they used it's super strong, I threw the skate in the skate oven for about two and a half minutes and didn't even soften whatever that adhesive is.
  17. A customer brought in a pair of skates that had a broken holder and wanted them to be replaced. After removing the rivets I'm finding that the holder is also secured to the boot with some type of construction grade adhesive, something similar to a liquid nails. Any suggestions on how to get this off? I tried using some non-aggressive solvents to loosen it and they didn't work. I don't want to damage the composite of the skate, which is also why I'm afraid to try and just pry it off. I asked him to reach out to the shop that did the installation to see if he could find out what specific adhesive was used so that I could contact the manufacturer so I can use the right chemical to soften it for removal. This is a pair of TUUK Edge holders on AS1 skates.
  18. Stich puller works best. Just take out the embroidery.
  19. I use this one: https://utahskigear.com/shop/wintersteiger-red-soft-gummy-stone-2-5x1-5x0-75in/
  20. I have a customer who is wanting to order these. I haven't personally seen anyone using them in a very long time. I gave him the option with going with items we have in store, Bauer LS Edge and CCM XS Holders, but he seems to think the QuikBlade holder is far superior to the others. Just looking from some general feedback from individuals that either use them or have services skates using them. For those unfamiliar with the holde, here is their website. http://www.quikblade.com
  21. That would be the only negative I imagine. It also makes the blade stiffer as well, so for someone looking for a very soft flexing blade, it would likely not be ideal.
  22. The P28M and P92M are my favorites patterns. One you go with a max height blade you can never go back to a standard type.
  23. I would imagine they weight the same as retail sticks or pro stock with the same specifications. Its all about the options you select, such as the type of blade or shaft. Etc
