  1. I use thicker washers to push the cage further away too. It helps a ton.
  2. I know you aked JR, but the few people who have been quite happy with them have skated on the Zuperior profile.
  3. May want to look into ProtectaClear. I use this on customers who are rough on steel. https://www.everbritecoatings.com/cart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=7
  4. CCM 710 with Fitlite cage Easton E700 with Bauer Re-Akt cage Bauer Re-Akt with Bauer Re-Akt cage
  5. Have a customer who wants to order a pair which isnt a big issue but he was hoping for some feedback. I have seen the lower model but not the 7700. Is anyone using them? Good? Bad? I did a quick search and didnt see any good threads.
  6. Awesome! Looking forward to trying those out and would be happy to be part of the beta/alpha testing program.
  7. I like the get the rebound off their head and tuck it in 😉
  8. You aren't sure if I play or not? Thats pretty funny. I am not that old, lol. I still skate at least a few times a week 😉 https://www.instagram.com/p/BpTChjkHzC0/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  9. +1 I have, they were too heavy for me and I prefer Flare. I am not shooting anyone down. I am providing general opinion and feedback. I agree. I also understand this is a v1 product so fine tuning will need to occur for it to become better and more mainstream. Its hard to release something new and revolutionary. I have been involved with many startup and kickstarter style projects and products over the years. I have. They were too heavy for me and I honestly didn't notice any benefit. I didn't mount them on my TRUE skates, instead mounting them to my older Vapors. While I liked the feel of the for cornering and such I felt top end speed was limited by them and the added weight. It took me more energy to get going to top speed and took more strides. I dont play a "cut down the middle" type of play, I am a more of a go wide and blow past everyone. I found that this didnt work well for my style of skating. Is there a long term roadmap to build the holders in something other than carbon to save weight and increase durability. We have had a couple of pairs come in recently that are pretty chewed up. I imagine the frame needs to be very stiff in order to accommodate the leaf spring used for the motion technology. Hence why carbon was used.
  10. Ever considered putting him on Flare or RamonEdge? Both are very popular in the WHL and we sell a lot to high level 14U+ AAA teams in the US and Canda. A lot of the kids at various prep schools we sell equipment to are also using these steels.
  11. Some players will put their name on anything to make a buck. Look at TJ Oshie repping NoSweat helmet liners. Other examples, from 2015: 12. ADD ON THE FACT THAT LECAVALIER’S FOUNDATION DONATED $3 MILLION TOWARD THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE VINCENT LECAVALIER PEDIATRIC CANCER AND BLOOD DISORDERS CENTER AT THE NEWLY BUILT ALL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL IN ST. 12. I'm just saying that if maybe known for their skating prowess was wearing then I might be more impressed....
  13. There is more than a few players using STX in the NHL. Not sure why people think otherwise.
  14. No offense, but Kronwall is quite old and is more known for his physical presence than his skating skills.
  15. Agreed. Last I heard they are at the top of the line.
  16. I did this myself. You can snip it without any issues.
  17. @Marsblade I asked a few of the players who tried the holders and switched back to their stock ones about changing the dynamics of the holders and each player turned down the offer. They said even if we could get the feeling dialed in they consider the weight of the holder as too big of a hinderance. I can pass them your information if you would like and they can contact you directly if they prefer.
  18. I can do that when I get back to Seattle Friday.
  19. Toss the helmet in a skate oven, or a home convection oven, for about 2 minutes and then toss it on and it should stretch out nicely. Keep a watchful eye on it though when it's baking as some foams dont tolerate high heat very well. Not sure if the V08 you have is all VN foam or not.
  20. The Supreme does, in fact, have an arch built into the skate as does the CCM Tacks. This is specifically why I cannot wear those skates as it causes me a ton of pain right behind the ball of my foot, or towards the front of my arch. I would put in some speed plate insoles as that helped me with the discomfort.
  21. The FT490 is very similar to the current FT1. If you like the weight and such of the current generation then go with the FT490. Also, I am not 100% sure about the midsole as the CCM catalog only mentioned lightweight midsole for the FT490 and specifically a composite midsole on the FT2. Not like it really matters in the end.
