Swapping CCM holders to TUUK's or Powerflys
Dmitrakov replied to Dmitrakov's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
So it’s pretty painless just swapping the holders from a placement standpoint with the rivet spacing for example a light speed edge being installed on a pair of FT6 pros? -

I am curious if any of you have experience completely swapping holders, for example swapping the CCM Speedblade XS holder for a Bauer Powerfly or TUUK Lightspeed edge holder. I find the CCM holder is too neutral for me and I am used to Bauer skates forward leaning pitch, which their holders help with. I have had to switch from Bauer skates unfortunately due to pressure points/foot pain which my new CCM FT6 Pros have solved, I just want to fix this neutral pitch problem. Before you ask, I've messed with every profiling there is, I am more so interested with swapping holders. This will involve most likely drilling new holes/patching old ones for the rivets to fit, have any of you gone through this process? Thanks in advance

what is this an order form for team sticks?

TPS Response Sticks: Back For Another Iconic Shift
Dmitrakov replied to A2rhino's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
With all due respect this is a crazy take haha. My dolomites feel like a weighted rubber training stick and they are severely bottom heavy compared to todays sticks, along with the synergy from 2 decades ago. They blade and shaft torque open and you feel it. I would say there is definitely tech that has improved the stick game, maybe the lightness of todays sticks hasn't "improved" the stick game per say, but the release/balance/power of these sticks compared to the latter is two different worlds in my opinion -
12K weave shaft with the 18k weave blade which starts at the fusepoint/hosel area like the G3
-
How does it play? It almost resembles a toned down malkin?
-
Does anyone have a pictures of a Barkov Pro curve they ordered from Gepetto/PRO? Just curious
-
nice post, for what its worth I wasn't a fan of the PRO VF or VX build. The VX felt like I had an intermediate sized lacrosse stick in my hands with an ok release, the VF doesn't compete compared to a 2NPRO or similar which I could get for the same or less money off sideline. I keep buying different PRO sticks thinking its gonna be better but it never is lol
-
What's the process like with PRO to make a custom curve? I know how it works with the big companies but just curious for future reference
-
Seriously, everything with the PRO1088 is stellar except for forehand shots. I pretty much have to slap it or basically saucer pass it at the net without any sort of open toe. I also find the PRO71 does lack in shooting due to the same thing going on, not much wedge/open toe to get it upstairs as consistently. Old Kovalchuk? Forget about it I can't get used to it whatever I try.

-
Right, funny thing is he used the G3 build earlier this season then went to PRO. I could've sworn I saw a game used stick with that CCM weave but now I look like an idiot lol. The blade is the same weave as the shaft on his sticks the 18K
-
I'm quite critical of his sticks as well but for the value & custom options sure they'll do the job. I know Ovi is not using a stick he currently offers to the general public. If you look at some Getty images of him using the PRO's recently you'll see the carbon weave is just like CCM FT Ghost or similar CCM sticks currently out Edit: I can't even find the picture I'm looking for looks it like it is the standard 18k weave recently

Any way to order custom True Sticks?
Dmitrakov replied to boshebetka's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I'd be interested as well, I DM'd hoping to piggy back on this -
prior to retiring Bergeron would have the above curve and specs, but would heat the toe with a heat gun and put just the tip in a vice and would kink it not unlike O'Reilly's curve.
