Found an Easton A/C 7000 shaft at PIAS.
-
Oh ok, I assumed it was the same fit(standard D/A) but just wanted to verify.
-
I hate wood blades in general so I cannot comment on that... but in my opinion, the one40 stick was one of the better value wood sticks out there.
-
Is the standard heel width more narrow or is it just available to be ordered with a narrow heel? Just curious.
-
You don't have any Bauer's left? Those were the best ones! haha I still have Jofas, Tacklas, Nike and Bauer, haha... I blame you for that.
-
No, you don't. I catalog my gear when I get new stuff in so I have over 350 pictures of my gloves alone... You don't want that clogging up the thread. Not to mention other members that are just as bad when it comes to gear whoring. I do like cataloging the stuff though, I rarely don't have a picture when someone asks for a pic of *whatever* and it really only takes about 2 minutes to take a few pics and upload them to my comp and stuff them into a folder.

Bucs beat the Saints on OT.

I know it's tough to find a comparison, just realize that if you make a bad comparison someone will correct it. No harm meant.

It doesn't take an accountant to know that buying a skate that is on closeout is going to be cheaper than buying a newly released skate. This is where you should have stopped talking. Your point on Windows is completely different, you cannot compare software prices to hardware prices. ...Aand f you don't think that the licensing fee is included in your PC purchase, you're very ignorant. Bauer is not going to punish itself for releasing a limited number of TotalOnes because the one100 is really top of the line... the TotalOne is a limited edition. Aaand don't get started on "Just the same skate," look at Reebok/CCM, Graf, Easton, now look at Bauer's skate lines over the past 6 years. I'm pretty sure Bauer is the only one that actually LOWERED the price of their top of line skate without drastically changing technology. Reebok/CCM didn't come up with something new until the U+, Graf has composite outsoles, Easton just fixed their durability issues. Damn Bauer for setting their bar soo high by innovating a completely new skate every year and recognizing that their newest innovation would cost too much to sell to the majority of their customers. You're just wrong, let's leave it at that.

I don't know what the cutoff is for the size holder on the two skates... but I'm guessing that the Vapor got the larger holder because it is a wide width while the Flexlite cutoff was the next size up. Oddly enough the Flexlites would be the wider skate. I know with older Bauer skates a 10.5D on a wider skate model* or wide width would be a 296 but they changed that for some reason with the one95 and the new Supreme line.. probably a holdover from the one90 line. *To clarify, a one95 is 10.5D should be a 296 holder but a Vapor 10.5D should be 288, while a Vapor 10.5EE should be 296.
-
So you want Bauer to sell it to you at their cost? Why didn't they think of that? They could sell a ton of skates if they gave you $50 plus a free pair of TotalOnes too! You might be on to something!

Hopefully, it doesn't end your playing days but I think this story should serve as a valuable lesson to folks out there. A few lessons: *Don't play injured. *Find another outlet to release stress. I swear I'm going to go absolutely nuts if I don't find something to keep my mind off of things quick. *When it rains, it pours. *Always save your crutches/braces/pain meds.
-
No but I heard of someone doing it in a parking garage! hah
-
I've had an injured right leg for about 2 months, Ive been playing hurt but took a week off because it was really bad. I was plenty able to play, it was just painful. I tried playing, beat a guy to the puck and spun off to protect the injured leg.. I get light contact to the back and the toe of my skate gets stuck against the wall. Knee and body keep moving right, ankle is stuck going left. *POP* now I'm on crutches, again. Last time I hurt my knee this bad ended my baseball/football days. Pile that onto everything that has happened the past 3 months for me and well... Life sucks. :-/

Used pro gear is anything but stink free, that's why I didn't buy those elbow pads. Luckily, a member here helped me out with my much needed right elbow floating slash guard:

The PPF glove is slimmer than the average Eagle glove. Same with the X72 and Fusion before that. Well those are slimmer but not as slim as the PPF, IMO. You could add the X50, X6 into that category too. :)

haha, yeah I haven't seen a second pair of Eagle Z-airs. ;) Nice 1st gen z-airs, too bad they aren't split fingers. :( Still nice nevertheless, sweet cuff!

One of the guys on my team said he was watching a game the other night and they were talking about it. He told his wife that he had been skating on it for almost a year and she didn't believe him. Some a month or so ago asked me if I'd ever heard of it...I said..."Been skating on it since I went to Novi last year". Then I had to backtrack and explain what THAT meant! I've gotten those questions a lot over the past year. I've gotten pretty good at explaining what FBV does, haha. :P

Very odd, is it HD foam or is it kind of spongy? I can't see why he'd go without plastic inserts.
-
You sure there are no plastic inserts? They sandwich them between two pieces of foam, squeeze it from the sides to be sure.
-
I would have bought those Tavares gloves a couple days ago but they don't have the right palm, so I passed. <_<

Very classy move by a team that proved they were classy about the situation all season. Did he play enough to get his pension? I hope so. MLB does a pretty good job of taking care of it's players, in my opinion. I had a friend that blew out his shoulder but he did qualify for his pension. With the pension he was able to take care of his two-year-old son and his wife while going to college to get a real job. Without that pension who knows how they'd get by.

Prospal was the last to wear that style Z-air but he didn't have solid print for the Easton logo. The last two I remember with those gloves were Prospal and Boyle before he went to the standard 4-roll. Boyle's had solid print for the Easton logo.

They changed the material on the cuff extension, it's also a little shorter I believe.
