  1. Pretty sure the NHL is 3/4" And confirmed: Click for Picture
  2. Ut oh, hell is freezing over... The Leafs in the Stanley cup this year? Nahhh.
  3. At least you didn't lose a $250 Mitutoyo micrometer you already had. For the life of me I can't find it. :(
  4. Micrometers are useful, if not just a cool tool to have... But you could likely take the skates to a mechanic and borrow theirs for the measurement.
  5. So I go to the doctor last week, again... Doctor tells me that it's most likely a torn ligament in my knee and tells me to get a X-Ray and go see my orthopedic. I, of course, question taking the X-Ray because obviously that won't show a torn ligament... The Doctor agrees but says it's procedure, so I do it. I wait a week and was "lucky" enough to get an appointment the morning after the Super Bowl(and I already agreed to be at a party... and I never break my word) and the day I have two tests in school. I of course left the party early, not long after the game ended but, for the past four months I haven't slept remotely well... some of you might understand some of that...but I'm not going to get into that. The XRay place is 30 mins from me and I already had it done and requested to pick up the report/films on Friday... Which they said no to, then I find out this morning when I call to see if they are ready that they were ready for me on Friday... despite them telling me they weren't ready when I called them on Friday. Soo there goes an hour of sleep, pick up the films and wait in the orthopedic for an hour for him to tell me that he thinks I have a torn ligament and that he needs a MRI to see how bad it is. He tells me to schedule a follow-up directly after the MRI, easy enough... The first available date is the 25th of this month... a little over two months since I was injured and told my PCP "I think it's a torn ligament." Oh and I still have two tests to take today and a pile of bills and errands to do... and it hurts a lot to walk but no biggie since we don't know for sure that it's a torn ligament.
  6. I'd compare them to the XXXXs but these are tighter front to back in the palm. The pinkie is also a little stubby.
  7. haha, sorry. :P Got them yesterday and just now was really the first chance I've had to get pics up. BTW, those Salmings are a very good pair of gloves.
  8. Yup, extra pair from last weekend.
  9. Oh geez Mack. Where'd you find those?
  10. I would have thought that a Graf stick would have a wood shaft fused to a dead, thick, heavy composite blade... mismounted of course.
  11. Minny colorway FTW. I need to find some more Minny gloves.
  12. I spoke with him some time last week. He has a quality collection, no doubt about that.
  13. This guy is driving me nuts. He's being great, he's very nice and helpful... but I ask him about Kovalchuk pro sticks and he tells me he has them in NBH and asks me what flex. I clarify that I'm looking for the pro pattern a "toe" curve and send him a pic of the pattern. I also mention that I'm not looking for a heel curve. He verifies that it's the "pro pattern P91 or P91a." UGH. I'm sure I'm on his list too because obviously there is a failure to communicate somewhere. <_<
  14. Hey come on, I've gone into the LHS grabbed a blade that was the brand and the curve I wanted, paid, started driving home, and had to go back because it was a lefty. Those people at games do drive me nuts, spewing out crap that isn't right to their friends. It was refreshing yesterday at the Avs game someone behind us was actually knowledgeable and was telling his friend half way near decent info about the game. My little brothers were kind of botherred by it at first, thinking he was going to be annoying all game, but I just told them to listen to what the guy said and laugh at him. He would jump up and yell dumb stuff every time a mediocre hit would happpen near us, and near the end the spirit had a power play and every player who got the puck (one of the few times they moved the puck well the whole game) he kept yelling "Let it GO!" "Launch it!" and all theses synonyms for "shoot" At one point, in quick succession he goes "Blast IT! FIRE IT! SHOOT IT!" and I just go "Bop it, twist it." and had half the section laughing. He didn't hear me though, because he was still yelling. And yea, picking up the wrong handedness happens, but you'd figure he'd catch it when he went to tape the curve, but he didn't. My friend's and I have got into the habit of when someone is doing that, we start screaming "SHOOT!" At obvious times when you can't shoot, like when a player is waiting for a line change behind his own net. It gets a few laughs but more importantly it seems to get the guy to shut up too.
  15. This is why when I worked on commission, some of the salespeople would charge the customer if their kid broke something in the store. The store didn't have the "Break it, buy it" policy but we saw it as an *sshole tax.
  16. Pro Stock AK OPSs have the AK27 logos on them. They might have had an early run of retail sticks with those logos but I know the OPS will be the AK, no 27.
  17. Used to. They were sold through HockeyGiant's website a couple years back. Apparently they were pretty solid sticks, too. SubliTWILL knows more, as he was involved in the process. Made by TT. Good sticks.
  18. Hey, some of us are watching those items. <_<
  19. Depends on the rink, I haven't played at your rink in forever but Rinkside sells a lot of Warrior sticks. :) The protective has done well too... considering that Warrior has done a horrible job at getting them the protective gear remotely close to on time. <_< Beudin sells a ton of Warrior sticks now too. So between him and Rinkside that explains the sudden saturation of the area. No warrior protective for Beudin though. He must have had to carry more because Rinkside has been selling them as quickly as anything else since Warrior sticks hit the shelves. I'd be willing to guess Warrior is number one in sticks through Rinkside. They've also sold sticks earlier than they were available online. The original Warrior gloves sat for a while though.
  20. Yeah, that's why they didn't ship with an extra palm.
  21. those vapor xxx gloves are awesome...are those the team canada ones? i have a pair in blue and white and man are those things comfortable...nice pickup Same color, just doesn't have team canada written on them They are retail... that isn't a bad thing though. There isn't much difference between most Team Canada XXX gloves and retail XXX gloves. Also, it's likely that if you got a pair of Team Canada gloves you wouldn't have that ultra thin palm that was on the original Vapor XXXs.

  23. No, the elliptical part of the shaft is very stiff... In comparison they might be kind of close because of the length of the average standard hosel blade.
