Split the cuff on one, may end up just shortening when all is said and done.

2015 Warrior Hockey Catalogue (protective)
Monty22 replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2015 Product Catalogue Reviews
HD pros look intriguing. Nice to know I'll be able to replace my 8K pros if/when they ever break down without taking out a second mortgage. Finally some love at the retail level for the long armed guys!- 31 replies

I went with the toe coating to protect the composite in that area. Toes tend to take abuse so every little bit helps. Yes it covers the screw. That screw is there to anchor the Velcro strip that attaches the tongue to the boot. I also went with the felt tongues, but that is just more of a personal preference decision than a "must have".

Brings back memories. Had a pair of Flyweights when they came out. Boot was comfy. Had X51's as well, but full Porto shell. Loved those gloves.

I noticed similar damage in the same spot on my wife's car two weeks ago. Someone apparently hit it in the lot where she works and kept driving.

Site prices are in CAN, at least when I ordered in October.

Sparx Skate Sharpener - At home sharpener
Monty22 replied to tamtamg's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Intriguing. Almost like a highly refined/improved CAG machine. Target price point would make it very attractive to hockey mom/dads that want the convenience of a home sharpener but maybe don't have the skill set/desire to own one of the current iterations available on the market. -
BATFE illegally deciding M855 is AP, when it clearly isn't.

The Mite team I coach went to a tournament this weekend on the Cape. Got lit up the first game, (nerves, different format) and proceeded to play two fantastic games the following day. The fist of the two was a 9-9 tie with the lead being traded back and forth the entire game. It was one of the best games I've ever seen at this level. I couldn't be more proud of the way these kids conducted themselves and gave it their all until the final buzzer. They dropped the second game 9-7, but dominated the last few minutes and had a ton of shots. just ran out of time. Nobody got hurt, kids and parents had a great time. Can't beat it.

On a side note, it looks like the velcro that holds the tongues has been beefed up on newer versions. Looks like the same material the skate is trimmed with?

Did you measure and send in pictures of the area next to a ruler, and identify it as a trouble spot?

I have a co-worker who will say " Oh, that's mines" instead of mine. I cringe knowing she's talking to clients.

I don't find either example nearly as infuriating as " I seen those skates ". Every time I read that I want to punch a kitten in the face.

Only place I've seen is puckshop.com, but they mark up the price of the wheels so it negates the cheaper ($14.) shipping. Buying one Orange wheel would come to $46 from either place.

Catalogue Review 2015 STX Hockey Catalogue
Monty22 replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2015 Product Catalogue Reviews
Looks to be a much more understated and better execution than the Rawlings "Jam". Those were brutal. -
I would be careful about over tightening- you could crack the composite toe box.
