  1. Thanks for confirming, I appreciate it! When you say the CCM has a slightly lower lie, do you mean less than 0.25? Do they both play the same?
  2. Thanks, I appreciate the reply. I haven't seen the TC6 available locally to see for myself. I see them both listed as a 5, but did a bit of research online and read conflicting info, so I was hoping someone here had firsthand experience.
  3. Old thread I know, but can anyone tell me if the CCM P90TM and True TC6 have the same lie? Are they the clones or slightly different?
  4. @Marsblade - Any thoughts on a "pro-series" R1 chassis? I love my R1's, but do find the weight is a drawback for many considering them. The R1's feel overly chunky compared to high-end fixed frames, which I assume is because they were designed with durability in mind. A performance model would be amazing to see come to life, something a little lighter and in other colors, maybe with the TF radius included. Selling just the lowers only, could be a great upsell for the competitive roller players already using R1's, kind of like DLC blades for ice holders.
  5. Thanks this really helped. I ended up getting both R1's for inline and the I2's over the Summer past. I have to say I'm very impressed with the product, especially the I2's. The idea was to match both my inline and ice profiles to make switching between the two as seamless as possible. I ended up adding a 1/8" heel shim in the R1's and using the pro series H5- TF radius, which matches the Quad Zero profile with the 17ft radius on the I2's fairly well. I would absolutely love to see @Marsblade work with @Flare Skate Blade in the future. It's a match made in heaven for both technologies.
  6. How are people finding the durability of these? I'm thinking about making the leap
  7. I go with my own too, mainly because I find most commercial deodorizers are overly scented. I do 50/ 50 water and vinegar, and then add 20 drops or so of Tee Tree oil. It works super well for me and is cheap, effective and not overly strong-smelling.
  8. That sounds perfect and pretty much what I was hoping for! Thank you
  9. Nice! How to the feel compared to a felt tongue? How thick are they?
  10. Thank you! I’m looking forward to giving them a shot. Anyone tried them already? Any thoughts on them?
  11. Anyone know if those new 3D printed tongues True has coming out, will be available to order as a separate?
  12. Awesome, thank you! Will do! How did you go about the DYI option? Feel free to DM if you prefer. Thanks again for the info, I really appreciate it.
  13. Thanks for the reply! Those look awesome! Just wondering if you would be kind enough to share more details on your experiences. What kind of professional shop did you use? Powder coating or like a car body shop? Also, for the DIY bronze set, did you just sand and paint them? Those look pretty good to me! Sorry for all the questions, I'm a newb at this.
  14. Has anyone tried removing the blue color from the metal part of the frame? I have seen Coast Hockey shop sells uncolored (silver) and black R1s and would like to remove the blue on my pair.
  15. Thanks for the response and video, I hadn’t seen that before.
  16. How does the pitch of these compare to Tuuk?
  17. What's everyones favorite wheel for smooth concrete?
  18. For me it's got to be my Eagle PPF gloves. I've had multiple pairs but been using them solid 6-7 years now.
  19. Like you mentioned earlier Base told me that their "Stiff" blade is the older construction. They were ok, but I found the X-stiff better (more durabile) and the feel isn't much different. If you're concerned about the blade being to pingy, add an extra layer of tape.
  20. I typically like a dampened feel to my blades, but hated the regular stiffness Base blades. They felt completely dead, I wouldn't recommend them personally.
  21. Barkov for sure! That curve is so perfect and a jack of all trades. Will be a great curve for a variety of people and an easy translation from a p88/92. I’d definitely jump on board with an order if it happens
  22. and of course myself too so that's +5 to start but I'm sure there's others that haven't chimed in yet. Now's your time..... (apologies if I quoted anyone out of context)
  23. Thats what I think is cool about the Barkov, it's very similar to the old Gionta (which I love) but more usable for people coming from other curves too.
  24. Seems fairly specific to me. From a manufacturers point of view wouldn't you want something that appeals to a wider audience?
  25. The Barkov fits in well between those two indeed. I think it's the perfect compromise. It also fits well between at P92 and P88 too, which is why I think it will be a very popular curve. A P92/P88/P14/BC27 hybrid, hahaha
