a friend of mine has the Kings version. nice gloves for the money.
-
found at my local Play It Again Sports for $35: palms are in great shape but a little stiff. might re-do them in digital.
-
glad that guy took a more reasonable amount than what he first listed them for. not my cup of tea with the home/away thing but....a lot of the guys selling pro stock Franchises will actually take quite a bit less if you use the "make offer" button.

for me the MLX/Mako concept isn't about how good a skater you are, it's about comfort. I spent almost a year trying to transition from Vapor 8's to a new pair of Vapor XXXX's then I bought my first pair of MLX. after baking, one public skate session and 1 period of a beer league game I was ready to make them my permanent skates. took a deal from a rep on a new pair of Makos but I don't have them yet. my friends that are moving to Milan later this year, the wife skates in MLX's so you'll probably get to at least see those up close. :)

this topic has been dormant far too long! less than a month from production confirmation to delivery, no rush charge!

my family of Kovalchuk Luxe: left to right: Devils, KHL, Team Russia

I like the feel of the AK27's but can't stand the sublimation so I used India Ink to black out most of mine: I have since solved the problem of the one shiny finger.
-
some stores already have them. even the little pro shop at my main rink has 4 pairs already and they have very little gear overall.

yep

from Russia with love! definitely not up to Warrior quality but still a nice (and unique) glove.

most officials associations require refs to wear skates that are all black or predominantly black, especially if you want to move up within the organization and do higher level games. refs are also strongly encouraged to have plain white (no dots at all) laces.

sports2k.com another board that deals with mainly pro stock hockey gear.

people said the same thing about the MLX too but when a skate fits as well and protects as well as this, you really don't care how ugly it is.
-
you got those for a bargain off of Ebay! I was watching that auction because I was curios to see what they'd go for since I just got a pair of the same model Team USA gloves.
-
I've got a pair of those. used a brown paint Sharpie to lessen the silhouette and stroker word mark. those look like they're in like new condition!
-
I really hope they disperse the impact like the MLX do. I took a helluva slapshot right off the front of my foot in my MLX last night and barely felt a thing. I have no doubt I'd be looking at a fractured or badly bruised toe if I'd been wearing my old skates.

is that orange or red?

no problem:

WOOOOOOOT!!!!! finally got a decent pair of Eagle H34! palms are in perfect shape! best $40 I ever spent! edited to replace with better pic
-
wouldn't the moldability help with that or is it just not enough?
-
been looking for these for months!

I agree with this. I used a small 9900/9500 and when I switched to the Re-Akt the guy at my local shop suggested going with a medium instead of a small based on what his Bauer rep had told him. he was dead on.
-
love 'em!!! I was going to go after them but I figured since I already have a pair I shouldn't. I love mine even though they're one-piece fingers.

sometimes if you want the best you have to go pro stock like with Warrior Luxe gloves. they don't make them custom and the retails are made overseas and not anywhere near the quality of the ones made in Canada. I was able to obtain some new Kovalchuk Luxes recently and they are FAR superior to my retail Luxes.
