I'm really shocked that only one other person said they wear 33. It goes without saying that I have worn it over the last 12 yearsbecause of my idol Patrick Roy. Other numbers that I have worn include:

4 - (kids rec baseball and soccer)

23 - my first hockey season (I wanted 33 but it was taken and I was in second grade so I just dropped the 3 to a 2)

75 - jr/sr high football only cuz they wouldn't let me wear 33 as a nose tackle

1 - on a tiny ass jersey I wore at nationals a couple years back cuz the coach i was playing with forgot to bring me a goalie jersey that fit

#51. Back in peewee hockey I used to wear 15, it wasn't available but 51 for some reason was there. I happened to end up with the same number in baseball that year and it has stuck since.

Plus it's easy to get my hands on if I switch teams and get new jerseys since no-one else wears it.

#18. Jerseys at the house league go from 1-18, and are also sized small to XXL by number

I took 18 to make sure I would get it big enough.

Then when we ordered our Jerseys for our monthly charity game, I kept 18 for continuity, and when we ordered our Jerseys for winter league, I stuck with 18.

I could say it's because I model my game on Matt Pettinger on the caps, but he's a speedy small left winger, and I'm a fat slow RW with no shot to talk of :)

I wear #12...only because it follows me.

In grade 2, I was 12th on the list in aphabetical order. So all my stuff was labeled with a 12.

The same year, on my tykes hockey team, we were randomly assigned numbers, and I got #12.

Again in the same year, we were at a Tim Hortons Timbit Tournament, and we were all randomly assigned numbers, no one else got their same number, but I got #12.

So, I just stuck with it.

It happened when I moved to a new team also..I was last to choose, and surprisingly 12 was left...it was either #1 or #12...so, I guess its just good luck.

I've never used any other number, for games.

11 now, since I prefer odd numbers. I wanted 13, but my team didn't have a 13 jersey.

I wore 11 as a kid, along with 8 and 14. 14 would be my second choice on my current team.

One year, I came to a game and found that my coach switched me from 11 to 20. He said I reminded him of Dino Ciccarelli, both in looks and in play, so I had to wear his number. We had North Stars colors, too.

On our next road trip, we were billetted with host families, and the coach introduced me as Dino. The kid already knew me from previous years, but he thought it was funny and kept the joke going. His dad called me Dino all weekend, and his mom called me Dean. :lol:

I used to wear #11 when I was a kid...only because my older brother wore it. I think my brother was a big Messier fan.

Now I wear #37 'cuz that's the number Wes Walz wears. As others here have mentioned, there are other better-known players that wear #37, but I gotta say I really look up to ol' Walzie more than anyone else.
