No, not even 3G because it's not up here yet. It won't be here till end of the year (yeah right) so it's whatever wifi I can grab. At my house that's not a problem but other than for using remote, I don't need to use my iPhone at home so that's almost pointless. Work campus has theirs locked and some free/unlocked ones give me an "unable to access" message or some crap.

Well, I don't feel so bad then.... at least I can utilize both Edge, and WiFi.... although I'm in Boston and you're in Alaska, correct? I'm just a little annoyed that I've paid $200, and extended a contract another 2 years just to end up back at square one. Maybe the 3G debacle will be resolved soon enough.

I walked around Boston today, and monitored the 3G signal... at some points, I was up to full service, so that in itself makes me think it's not the handset. But then I get home, and put the phone next to the wife's and it's completely discouraging to see her Samsung get 5 bars of lovely 3G signal, and mine gets nada.

How long does it take everyone to charge their phones...cause it seems like mine is charging too fast almost? Mabye its just me.

It showed 100% on mine within a couple hours it seemed, but I'm still in the "run it out and charge it back up" phase.

this iphone has to be the buggiest phone ive ever had. dont get me wrong i love it more than any phone ive ever had... theres just a couple kinks they need to work out. anyone else experiencing some?

Never tried the cassette adapter.... but I had no luck with an FM transmitter. Signal interference, poor sound quality.... I don't know if it was being in the outskirts of Boston (not many dead air stations) or what, but the transmitter went back quick. My quick fix was a new deck ($99... didn't need anything expensive) with an aux input. My new Dodge came with a stock stereo with front and back auxiliary inputs.

My deck has an input on the front. I only paid about $70-80 for it. My GF used an FM transmitter and it drove her nuts...reception was iffy and she had a cheap one that only gave 2 or 3 freq. options. You can get some now that will allow you to use any frequency.

She had Honda put the Aux jack in her Civic. It cost like $150 for the plug/labour.

I've been waiting for my Ghost Armour for like 12 days and still haven't gotten it even if I took the First Class USPS International Package. No worries though the iPhone 16GB is back ordered and I still haven't gotten it yet. I do have my 3G dock and my Apple Socks ready though. I'm anxious to try the Remote App, it looks awesome.

Alright....I need me a good case, I want a hard case, been searching high and low on the net, who has a good lead for me? The ATT store sucked, but glad mine 8gb black finally came in.

One of their screen protectors (though I also like the ones that just cover the touch part of the screen and not the whole front) do well enough. To me hard cases are clunky but Matias always has durable stuff.

If I had to go with a hard case, I would probably go with a iSkin one. They look pretty good IMO.

Matias is damn near indestructible from the iPod cases I've used of theirs, but to be honest I've been fine w/o a hard case on my iPhone. I'd dropped my old one a few times (even on cement and a bathroom floor) with nary a scuff. They're not fragile to me so I think you'd be fine, but put a screen protector on if you're worried about scratches.

Having some trouble setting up the mail application on my iPod touch. I'm pretty sure that the server=pop.cogeco.ca (for cogeco cable users in Southern Ontario), but I don't know what my Username (Domain\User) information is. I use Outlook for email. I've tried several combinations in itunes to force a synchronization with my computer without any luck.

Any help will be appreciated...

There is a free version of iPint....can't remember what brand. I like the graphics better, but there is no sound. I don't have it on my Touch...a friend has it on his iPhone.

After dropping my ipod out the window of a train on a road trip, I'm in the market for a new one. The last I got was a 30gb video about a year and a half ago and I havent been keeping up with the latest ipod trends so I'm just wondering what I should buy. I dont need immense amounts of space and don't need the absolute top of the line but I want something decent, also is there any new models out that I should be waiting for?
