Ovie sporting a mirrored visor last night!

I guess this answers the question of "are mirrored visors allowed in the NHL?" I also want to add that I think this is a badass pic :)

MissConduct: That 3rd pic is awesome....the torque on his ankles/blades must be unreal...

I think it was on here (During the Olympics) that I read he tore a pair of holders right of the bottom of the skates...that's a powerful skater.

sure it's not mirrored?

From tsn.ca Ice Chips:

Washington's Alexander Ovechkin, who swapped his smoked visor for a mirrored one this week, has an eight-game scoring streak - five goals, eight assists. He needs two goals and five points to become the second rookie to record 50 goals and 100 points. Teemu Selanne had 76 goals and 132 points for Winnipeg in 1992-93. - News and Observer

Great pictures MissConduct, so if he was wearing a mirrored visor, I'm now confused.... People are saying your not aloud to in the NHL, but he is. What would happen if he did use a mirrored visor when you weren't aloud? Fine? Suspension even(farfetched) ?

Maybe these Oakleys aren't as mirrored as the other ones (Itech?), or maybe Reebok (own CCM who own Oakley?) pressured the league...

That visor isnt certified. Your visor doesnt need to be certified in the NHL. Why would it when you dont even have to wear it?

Most of the NHL visors aren't certified.

That would annoy the hell out of me

Me - "Man, I look weird when I'm skating... what's that on my face?"

*shot, goal!*

Coach - "What happened? he walked right passed you?"

Me - "Ummm, I noticed that I had a zit and I need to shave :-\"
