Did anybody else catch the womens Taekwondo match between Canada and Sweden? Easiestly the worst thing/"sport" I've seen on T.V. All they do is hop around, attempt a few kicks and after each kick they scream? Anyways, Canada ended up losing 2-0 and felt they got screwed over by the judges so they filed an appeal.

I agree, it was really bad. While they are hopping, they also switch from right-handed to left-handed and back again. I saw it while watching the BMX competition.

Womens is really bad, mens is more entertaining. But again with martial arts, competition like this isnt very entertaining because its very technical. The scoring has been pretty poor, in my opinion.

Taekwondo in itself isn't the most visual thing either. The Judo competition was fun though, that's way more interesting.

Depends on what you appreciate. TKD is all striking with mostly kicks. Judo is very technical grappling focusing on throws.

The differences are why MMA is so entertaining to watch.

Many of the sports were interesting to watch. Got to see the handball matches earlier, and Ive never even heard of it before. Very cool to watch.

And kinda odd to also watch the intensity of a table tennis game.

I'd like to see what an Olympic handball game is like, I've played this game a few times but I'd like to see how fast it actually is. I haven't caught any on T.V. yet.

have you tried to watch any on nbcolympics.com ive kinda watched bits and pieces of games of almost all the sports (you can watch events already over). some of these are just intense!

Ron Maclean has to be the greatest sports commentator alive, he just came on the air and informed everyone that his mother had just passed away 2 hours ago and he had to leave China for her funeral. He even took time to thank everyone at the hospital in Oakville, that guy is the classiest man alive.

That's too bad. Ron MacLean was doing such a great job with the Olympics. He was the only reporter who wasn't asking the dumb/obvious questions that all the other CBC reporters were asking. Simply a classy guy, who seems to love what he does.

The chinese government provided official documentation saying she was 16. If the IOC wants more proof, they will create it. How do you disprove the official government documentation?

I felt very bad for Adam. In his interview you could just see he was ready to break down with disappointment. I think he'll come back with a very strong effort in the 500m. I'm going to guess a Gold Medal for Adam V.K. in the 500m.

At the same time it was great to see Hall come through at the end of the Canoe race and get a bronze for Canada.

Now Premont is out in the mountain bike race, everyone is in the dark right now. No one knows what happenned, now cros our fingers for the other canadian who is currently 3rd. Btw that course looks amazing, nice climbs, rocky descends and bridges.

EDIT: Well she finished 4th and she's from Harvey Station New Brunswick, I didn't know that.

Did anyone see the images of the cuban taekwondo athlete who freaked out after being announced loser of a match? Kinda extreme although I would not have given him the 2 points for the headshot to the ref.
