bostonjuniorblackhawks 1 Report post Posted July 26, 2010 Hip bursitis, no football for 2-3 weeks. Finally went to the doctor today and he said I can skate due to the low impact on the hip joint. So sticktime sounds good for now. Good thing is no more 5 AM wake-ups for football. :)Being injured does have it perks

hamstercaster 2 Report post Posted July 26, 2010 The finger I have almost cut completly with a miter saw 3 weeks ago is still not healed. Got the stitches out last Monday and the wound opened up about halfway. It's not pretty much shut off again after putting some steri strips on it to keep it shut. I'm in for at least another week before I can safely say that it's shut and has healed completely.

DarkStar50 680 Report post Posted July 26, 2010 Alarm was set for 5 AM this morning to open shop by 7:30 AM, cat yak wakes me at 4:30 AM instead. The guy with keys to close the shop at 8 PM tonight slices his finger on the cross grinder. He goes to the ER, cut ligaments, broken finger, stitches. I'm here until 8 PM + final close. Can't wait for more bullshit later. Cold beers when I get home. FTS.
saba 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 Wife volunteered to sit in the sun for 3+hrs and temps around 99 and not one person thanked her. Last guy in the race post race decided to sit with some other folks and did not even tell her he pulled himself out early, she sat there bottles at the ready, dude was chillin on the other side of the finish line in the shade. I was out the back on the first hill, decided due to heat and nature of the course to do slow and steady to pick folks off. First person I encounter cresting the hardest hill is our second fastest elite racer and a road racing champion of his country. Chain was off and rear dérailleur was split in half. Tried to hand off my bike, since he would place higher(win for the team) to find our cleats were not compatible. Had to attempt to bridge back to the pack, caught on with 4 guys but pulled on 3rd lap. Still finished 24th but all in all a crap show of race I was never that keen on from the get goI think my OTB on the first hard hill climb is telling me that my peak has passed and it might be time to wind down the race season for the year. Where is my mountain bike and Aussie?

Chadd 916 Report post Posted July 29, 2010 When I flew to Detroit I took the blades out of my R2XN10s and put the blades in my bag. Then I wrapped the shafts in bubble wrap before I put them in my stick bag. I may be paranoid, but I see how bags get treated every day at work.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted July 29, 2010 I was thinking more of pulling the blades and using a fishing pole case but I likely wouldn't even take the shafts to begin with, it's just too risky... there's soo little hope of replacing them.

They broke in the exact same area just under where the fused spot of the stick is usually. So i am am now hunting down the infamous OVIE toe curve, since my SE16 was a clone and was fun to use! dsjunior1388 81 Report post Posted August 3, 2010 (edited) My laptop is officially dead. Still turns on, but Windows won't function and theres no way I'm paying to repair it when I'm replacing it in a month. Not to mention the screen is now only connected to the rest of it by 3 wires.
