So I was watching a replay of the Pittsburg vs Philadelphia today and they had a quick view of the new Penguins Winter Classic jerseys. I looked them up and here's what the Penguins and Capitals jerseys look like:

I couldn't find a real detailed actual picture of the Capitals jersey so here's this:

What do you guys think of these jerseys? Personally, I think the Penguins ones are terrible looking. I also thought their WC jerseys from 2008 were really ugly too. I like the Capitals ones. I've liked the other jerseys used by the varies teams too though. Granted the Bruins, Flyers, and Sabres jerseys weren't to different from what they wear now. I really like the jerseys that the Red Wings and Blackhawks had.

What do you guys think of the new Pittsburg and Washington jerseys and what's your favorite WC jersey so far?

I'm okay with the Pittsburgh sweater if it had a few less stripes at the bottom and on the sleeves.

I'm with most of y'all on this. Maybe two stripes on the torso and 3 at most on the sleeves and the jersey would actually be pretty good. Here's a rough edit I did with MSPaint.

Just curious and I didn't read that last 14 pages, but did Bettman or whoever decides this ever justify why they're putting the Pens in another WC? If it's just for the whole Ovie vs. Crosby dominance, can't they just throw them in the All-Star game and make them play 1 on 1 or something? I mean, that could probably attract more views to the all-star game to do something like that there for any single player rivalries. IMO.

Mario Lemiuex's son's team uses the exact same jersey design except they're black and yellow.

Of course those too are based on the original pens jersey, but I can easily imagine Mario saying "make them look like my son's team" or something like that.

Thats actually a really cool Idea....

Have each team send out 1 player at a time until someone scores/hits a post then change the players. I dunno how that would actually work on Television or live, but id love to see a Crosby v Ov 1 on 1.

That MSPaint jersey looks 100x better than the real deal. I'm going to the classic and was practically guaranteed to get a Pens jersey but now I'm really not so sure. The logo is awesome, the numbers and letters with the shading/shadow thing is really cool but those stripes just crush it.. I'll have to wait to see it in person. Sad thing is there was some really good jerseys floating around online that people had designed and they ended up coming out with this. d'oh!

The overall reaction to the Pens 2011 Winter Classic Jerseys has been rough around the Burgh. Popular opinion is that noone likes the new sweater. Most fans wanted an 80s or early 90s black and gold. To add to the dislike. The only Pens to model the jersey for the media, Malkin and Staal both were injured shortly after donning the new design. Rumors of bad luck are already circulating.

HBO 24/7, freaking awesome.

As Coach Bruce predicted at the start, HBO will make it Pens hot - Caps cold.

Rex Ryan thinks Bruce needs to have his mouth washed out with soap.

Max Talbot is a beauty, funny guy. It's easy to have fun when your winning, but I found the Pens really likable. Loved when Pascal walks in to the room and gives a "F-you Geno" out of know where. And they didn't focus on Sid too much

Cool to see when Ovie and Dubs are done fighting, they give a "Good one buddy"

I'm gonna love this series.

I thought it was great as well, from the little rituals to the attitudes a lot of them have, I love the uncensored-ness of it, it actually feels like real hockey with all the swearing.

See Ovechkin befor ethe game....shaking. I don't recall seeing him that fired up before. Fairly quiet so far within the game (so far) though.

And, how about the 'code' turning up again. Rupp loses a contact and goes "my eye, mey eye" so Erskine jsut stops throwing punches....could've got 1 or 2 good ones in on his blind side...if hockey players weren't such good guys!

Yeah man or coulda been nerves. He's not having as good of a season as normal and it's a big stage.

i thought maybe rupp had hurt his shoulder - i couldn't tell what he said - that's pretty funny though if he stopped cause his contact fell out

Not sure if NBC showed it, but CBC said Rupp went to the room to get new contacts after the fight and when they reshowed it you could tell it was "my eye!" that he said. and he was blinking one eye.

I don't think that was HBO's mic. NBC featured Ovey in a "Mic'd Up" segment. I don't know how they had it attached, but it sure looked flimsy...I thought for sure we'd see it on the ice before the end of the game.

This game is going to look so good as part of the last Episode of the HBO show. I can't wait to see it.

Thoroughly disappointed as a Pens fan at their effort after the first Caps goal. The one PP they had off the Delay of Game penalty was good minus them not scoring. I don't know if I care to watch this final episode cause of it.

NBC's camera work was brutal in the first period. They kept switching between camera's & was disorienting at times.
