I think that this 24/7 is setting up to be better than last years' episodes. It's less about the hockey and more about the players and the personalities. The whole Anisimov incident coverage was pretty funny...and Torts rants on Gabby and the comments on the team's play with the HBO cameras was classic. I can tell early on that he will make the 4 part series.

Let's see if HBO has the guts to take this series where the NHL does not want it to go: Concussions and what effect they are having on a team and the game. For the Flyers, first Giroux and now Pronger. The Pronger problem will get a mention but the NHL better hope there isn't another concussion injury with these two team before 1/2/12.

Add Couturier to that list. Someone on HNiC earlier said that there is over $87 million dollars right now sitting on IR due to concussions. That's a staggering number to say the least.

I was just saying to JR how if I was writing the script...I would highlight Perron's one year hiatus...his goal against the Rangers...and the same day announcement of Pronger, with Giroux as last week's focus on the concussion issues. Couturier will probably get more coverage towards the end of that segment as the third Flyer concussion issue within the last two weeks.

Couple interesting points: hbo can edit up until 6:30 the night of airing, and NHL has final editing say. Maybe why no concussion emphasis.

Real Sports on HBO did a segment on fighting a month or so back, the NHL did not come out of it looking very good...take it for what it's worth.

Just watched Ep. 1. So good! And...if you were not a hockey fan...or had never even seen the game, that intro should draw you in. The way they present the sport is awesome! It really is some great TV.

Got my wish and got on camera, although it was only for like 2 seconds haha. Great episode again, I loved the part with Liam, the kid suffering from cerebral palsy. Got a little watery-eyed with that.

He certainly is quite a character....He did get me thinking when he brought up the part of defencemen blocking shots and they are weren't goalie equipment haha...Who's crazier the goalies or the dmen?
