what is that silver covering the join on the 2 piece?

It's a sticker he applies to mimic the appearance of the old Easton aluminum sticks that had the silver tip at the bottom. He's been doing it for ages on all of his shafts.

From some short video clips i've seen of Jagr at practice, i've spied the new RBK 11K helmet, Total one skates with black holders and yelloe laces....couldn't make out the gloves or stick, though. Probably RBK as well.

In other Flyers news, i was real surprised to see Briere in APX skates; he had been using Supreme series in past seasons.

Coburn and Meszaros are now sporting the Easton Stealth RS.

Shelley now in the 11K helmet (previously Bauer) and AI9 stick.

Giroux, always a Vapor guy, using the APX.

Voracek in all RBK.

Schenn in all Bauer.

That shin is part of Bauer's third family of protective equipment. Due out spring 2012.

I wonder if they are the new version of the pro series as well. I liked mine from last year and they look similar minus the vents and white extended padding at the knee.
