Traded in a Mercedes Benz C400 for this yesterday. $300/mo smaller car payment $200/yr drop in insurance $150/mo drop in gas usage $180/mo drop in toll/HOV lane fees Add to that up-close parking almost everywhere, free "gas" while there, and I can charge it at work for free as well. I was really worried about my goalie bag not fitting, but no problem at all, so we can realistically get rid of the Volvo XC90 that we kept around JUST for hockey because it happens to be paid off already. This is a GRIT goalie bag with obviously plenty of space:

To be fair, that's a really nice looking jersey!

Netflix Live is the greatest April fools thing ever.

Yea I remember that happening a few times. Was never a big deal, usually just somebody trying to get out of class. Had the fire alarms pulled fairly often too. Those bomb threats aren't like today's bomb threats, though. Whole different world back then.

That warrants a lockdown these days?

LOL that's quite the jump!

Getting a 6-4 win is nice and all, but I'm even more happy to see my buddy Kyle play his first game back in about 8 months after a torn ACL and meniscus. He went down around the time I started walking again so we haven't been on the ice together in almost a year!

More like slightly less on your toes because you'll still have a forward pitch.

Flip or Flop can be depressing when you see them flip a 1200sq ft house and sell it for $800k in the area you already live in...
-
Flip or Flop. I can't stand the girl and the "problems" are so forced but I like the end results, usually. I hate any of the shows where they don't actually do renovations (I find shows like House Hunters generally a waste of time).

Wow, I got lucky a LOT on Tuesday night. This video is much longer than most of the other pickup videos (usually around 7 minutes, game videos are usually under 5) because there was just so much going on. But with some really good saves, along with some really lucky ones, I had a lot of adrenaline going and didn't feel tired the entire night. It was kind of fun "knowing" you'd make the save every time they entered the zone. Usually it's "get the puck out!" but on Tuesday it was very much "I can't wait for them to come back down the ice so I can stop them again". They scored 2-3 in the last 5 minutes though.

Indeed.

I wanted the #DEMODAY one :P I hate most of what's on that channel with the exception of Fixer Upper and Flip or Flop (which is not being made anymore due to their divorce)

Finally game footage! Now when I show up to the rink I take a look at who the refs will be and determine whether it's even worth taking the camera out. What's funny is that the head guy for our area is the one who chats with me about it! Anyway, here's the game. We won 6-2, and now the first place team with all the ringers on it is 9-1. We had 7 skaters, and our one D played the entire game despite being sick. In fact most of our team bailed on us because they were all sick.

You just had to reply to their email about it. They sent it to all customers January 16th. Nope, all customers. -

It's also worth mentioning (it was briefly alluded to earlier but I don't think anyone elaborated on it) that Sparx went above and beyond with regards to customer service a couple months ago for all its customers. One dumbass apparently didn't bother changing his filter when the "change air filter" light came on, and ended up actually causing some smoke/burning as a result. In response, Sparx sent out a free air filter to all of its customers. Definitely was not something they had to do, but it was still very much appreciated. -
The top team in our league full of ringers is now 9-1 :)

Never a bad thing.

Comparable no. It's not FBV. It's the same as BFD which is the same concept but arguably not as good. What kind of mixed reviews? I've heard nothing but good things, except from people who thought it was FBV. -
Holy crap dude. That's brutal. I think I'd have a hard time sleeping for quite a while if it was one of my teammates. Very sorry to hear. Posts like this make most everything else in this thread sound so unimportant!

I agree, though usually the non-domestic dealers are a bit better. BMW, Porsche and Volvo have treated us extremely well. In fact Porsche scratched my car the last time I was there and they repaired it, no questions asked. Showed them a photo and it was "bring it in and we'll take care of it". You can actually tell what the service will be like when you buy the car initially, in my opinion. In the case of BMW and Porsche they don't even try to sell you anything. Just a different mindset altogether. I expected a lot more out of Mercedes Benz. It's just been fight after fight with incompetent service people. In this case, we had a flat tire. They didn't have a matching tire in stock so they told us all four needed replacing anyway so they could put a different brand on there. Then we saw the paperwork when we went to pick it up... the other three tires were still 7/32 on the non-flat front tire and 6/32 on both rears. Suddenly the "why are you putting a different brand on?" question we asked a couple days earlier all made sense. Then they tried to convince us that what the tech told them and what the tech wrote down were different. Not. My. Problem. Ended up settling with the manager on us keeping the new set of tires at a 50% discount. I'm sure some of you are thinking "first world problems", but when a dealer tries to scam you out of $1200 it makes you angry regardless of what manufacturer it is.
