  1. Excellent! thanks Chase! Yes I was looking at the newest gen RPD and Team sticks. I thought it kind of odd that the Sr and Int would be 7" difference, so figured it was a typo. Someone probably just inputted the Jr length into Int on accident I can confirm that they are now reading properly on the consumers end, now to decide which one to go with
  2. I have a question regarding stick lengths. On IW website, they have the length on Intermediate at 52in, and senior at 59. Do you know how they are measuring this, and if these numbers are accurate? I am considering getting one, but wonder if it will be too short.
  3. I was always a Buick guy, but got sick of shelling out so much money for every little thing that broke or wore out. After graduating college, I moved to Vermont for a bit to hang with my parents, that showed me how really awful my regal was in the snow. My mom got an outback after the car she moved to Vermont with (concorde) was totaled, and my dad has always owned cherokees. They drive the Outback when it snows. I bought an Impreza in 08', its great in the snow, but next I will probably get an Outback or Forester. I haven't had a single issue with mine, only normal replacements (brakes, tires wore out, stuff like that). 112k without replacing things is new to me, but I like it!
  4. Owning a Subaru during winter snowstorms. On the flip side, I can never use getting stuck as an excuse to not make it in to work :(
  5. Better Sundays than the super bowl: Any Sunday I play hockey Any Sunday Red Wings play hockey Any Sunday during the Stanley Cup Playoffs I don't need any specific event to ttell me when to consume junk food.
  6. EK11 looks like a great second price point stick, I wonder what Sher-wood will MAP them at.
  7. made it through the weekend. as mentioned before played roller for the first time in many years, but that was just the start of a weekend where I played 3 sports in 24 hours that I hadn't played in a combined 25 years. My main goal was not to fall, which I accomplished, but perhaps I should have been more concerned about head safety as I took a rollerblade to the jaw (with cage on, thankfully) and a soccer ball to the nose/face. Sore all over, but I got a goal in both soccer and roller, so win win! although the roller game was drop in, and my soccer team lost 2-4. But hey, I got a draw in racquetball doubles!!!!!
  8. First inline game in 13 or 14 years. Well it was drop in. Did better than I expected too and didn't fall once which was pretty much my goal. Next step, getting used to the lighter puck
  9. Well my MacBook was the first gen with Intel. Two weeks in it kept randomly shutting off after some hours, and the "geniuses couldn't figure it out dispite my leaving it there all day. They took my hard drive out and replaced the whole computer. Another week in, same issue. I thought it might be an issue with the heat sink and turns out it became a known issue. Everything has issues, I get it, but this was a hardware issue that was super easy to test before launch, that's what stress tests are for! Some months after that an issue with my backlight occurred that they never figured out so now the backlight spasms every few minutes for tge last 7 years. It crashes a lot more than my PC does too. I haven't used it much in the last few years because it's a hassle, and now eats through batteries so that they die completely within a month of purchase, which sucks because the apple batteries are not cheap, it's a desktop at this point. By now they are building better intel machines so I'll definitely give them another shot down the road, probably when I work on my masters
  10. I am in agreement with Chippa, zealots are more annoying than the haters. Having used both, each has their place. Unfortunately for me, I've had way more issues with my MacBook than all other computers I've owned combined. The amount of testing they did when switching over to the intel chips was laughable. Personally I just stick with building my own, they last longer and it's way cheaper. I don't game as much as I used to however so I could see myself giving mac another try in the future.
  11. They were very impressive at WF too, unfortunately I didn't spend enough time focusing on their protective as I had just bought all new within a year, but I will definitely look closer once the lines are released into stores!
  12. really good timing play, but maybe its easier to get timing down when you got someone feeding you the puck that's as good as Crosby.
  13. I have a question about the max skates. I just received mine a few days ago, and when i try them on, they are no where near as comfortable as the team skates, mostly in the ankle/back of foot area. I am not sure if it has been covered here or not, but do they have a more aggressive angle than the team skates do? and will the comfort increase over time or with a bake? I realize they are a stiffer boot, but the amount it pushes on the backs of my foot is worrisome, granted i have only wore them for a short period of time and in the house to test out fit.
  14. yeah I used waxed for ice, but the tongue material on these roller is different and I want to make sure it would hold up as well as my ice skates do. I assume there will be some indentation of the tongue similar to my ice skates have, and residue, I just don't want any pre-mature wear
  15. im thinking about throwing a pair of howies waxed in my Max skates, any idea how this will effect the tongue? should it hold up just fine?
  16. the wood one only comes in the stastny and ryan2 curves. Id say of the two the ryan 2 (p88) is closest to the datsyuk.
  17. thanks ice warehouse, for having ridiculously low priced RPD Max clearance skates, now I have two pairs of alkali lol. Guess I can use the Teams for concrete, and wont have to switch out the wheels in between.
  18. http://alkalihockey.com/thepenaltybox/view/844 so this is very exciting! this area has a big lack of inline specific arenas, and i wasnt really looking forward to a 40 minute drive to the rink to play. Outside of Taylor during the summer i couldnt find anything, looks like thats about to change =) It will be weird to skate on wheels at canfield though, considering the times i skated there on ice as a kid. also, to those who are on the lookout, the Max skates are at an insane price on HM right now, kinda bummed i bought my teams when i did considering i havent used them yet due to the mentioned lack of inline in the area =)
  19. I bought one of these for 40 bux. I am currently working on making some hooks etc for it, but I love it! I bought a cheap shoe organizer to hang my gloves on, but plenty of room for all my gear. I am putting it in the furnace room in my house, and have pegboard im going to use for extra tape and accessories, I will post a photo when its done. http://www.amazon.com/Whitmor-6779-3044-Double-Closet-Silver/dp/B002DGM4IU/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1417007701&sr=8-4&keywords=clothing+rack
  20. RBZ bows are nice, I love them.
  21. Glad to hear your mending well :) hope to see you on Ice soon!
