My friend just won 2 pit tickets to the Q101 Jamboree that is tomorrow and he asked me if I wanted to go. Very very excited because Coheed & Cambria is playing, 2nd time I will be seeing them this summer now.

Picked up my first hatty in 2 years last night in my summer college/junior league, my total ones are finally broken in. Hawks are up 2-0, World Cup is approaching, GF is back from school. Life can't get much better right now.

Slipknot Bass player Paul Gray was found dead today in a hotel room.

He is probably playing spring league High School, not winter season. That is what I did all through High School. And he is probably playing Jrs or AAA during the winter season. I know a 94 playing AAA who is committed to Michigan already so I don't doubt it.

When I played spring for my high school my incoming freshman year the just stuck all of us who were gonna be freshman on JV without even seeing us play before, I put up 67 points in 12 games. After that season they I played on the Varsity squad for spring with similar results. High School hockey in IL is just a complete joke.

Have not played competitive hockey since my junior season ended a month ago, my local rink has a college/junior league over the summer and I have my pre-season skate tonight. I am so excited to get out there was some good talent on the ice. Drop-in is just not cutting it.

Thoes might be some of the best looking gloves I have ever seen. I would love to see them with a blackhawks jersey.

Got my Coheed & Cambria tickets, Iron Maiden with Dream Theater tickets and, Rush tickets. Big thing on this one is, Rush announced they are playing all of Moving Pictures at the Chicago date. Easily my favorite album of all time, I can not wait to see The Camera Eye live, they haven't played it live in over 25 years and my dad was my age at that show. This will be the first time I will be seeing Maiden and I have only herd great things. I have seen Coheed 3 times now, Dream Theater 4 times, and Rush 3 times. Amazing summer for prog concerts.

Porcupine Tree is simply amazing. I have seen them twice now and both shows have been amazing. I am very excited for there new album and the 40+ min epic that will be on it.

Musical genius? I'm going to have to disagree on that one. A friend of mine was a huge fan of theirs in the early 90s and I saw them a couple times. They were terrible live and Patton was horrendous. I may have just seen them on off nights, but most of the live videos weren't all that impressive. I truly think he is a musical genius but to each his own. Faith No More is an acquired taste, for most of the people I know its either you love them or hate them. You might not be familiar with most of his side projects where he is much more creative such as Mr Bungle and Peeping Tom, his solo work is also very good.

Faith No More They are quite possibly one of the greatest bands during the early 90s, Mike Patton is a musical genius and extremely talented. And yes there is much much to them than Epic and We Care A Lot. Check out the A Small Victory album its really good. On a side note, after been listening to it for almost a month Dream Theater's new cd Black Clouds and Silver Linings is actually pretty decent, it blows Systematic Chaos out of the water but it just isnt quite up there for me with all their other cds.

Opeth is amazing. I have seen them 3 times live. Akerfeldt vocals are amazing, I love how he can seamlessly transfer from clean stuff to the dark demonic growl and have it brilliantly flow with the music.

Local H Im not to sure if they got any air time other than in Chicago becuase they are from here. Solid 90s alternative/grunge music. They are one of Chicagos best kept secrets in the music scene. Check out Bound for the Floor, Eddie Vedder and Hands On The Bible. These are my favorites and easily the most popular around here.

Umphrey's McGee possibly my favorite jam band. They are from chicago and put on an amazing live show. The song in the link Plunger is my favorite song that they have released on an actual studio album. They also sell mp3s and cds of almost every single one of their performances.

I picked up the octogun yesterday and was able to play with it for 3 hours. I was very impressed with everything from this stick. Right when I stepped on the ice I felt very comfortable with it, a little bit stiffer than my U+ but nothing to crazy. CCM really has been stepping up their game with their sticks lately.

Does it seem like you will get the automatic jersey tuck with the new pants?
