Does that shell have the velcro loops for a girdle?
  2. It might be the specific sizing. My left is a 6.75R and the right is a 7.25R if you compared this vs other brands.
  3. I think as long as the cost if under $75 it's worth it. Once the cost goes northward of $100 it's a waste. With shop wholesale cost I can get a brand-new pair of retail gloves for $85. In my situation, I really like these Easton GSX gloves that came from the LA Kings. They have 3-piece fingers + thumbs, backhand is very flexible., and the cuff is short and flared. This specific pair also has Poron in the backhand sicne they were made after Bauer acquired Easton.
  4. I really disliked the stick as well. It didn't feel balanced, and I disliked the kick point with the new taper. I like the Alpha LX Pro and am excited for the 2023 release of the updated version.
  5. There is almost no difference between intermediate and senior equipment in regard to protection.
  6. My 100K skates 7.25R with 272 holders and Flare steel are 947 grams each. My Cat Pros are 859 grams with 272 SHIFT holders and DLC steel. The Flare steel does weigh a little more, about 11 grams when compared to the SHIFT DLC. Also, the 100K skates are Total Custom Plus so they have extra foam and such.
  7. I have seen quite a few people testing them out. I haven't heard anything positive or negative so I dont have an opinion on the new holders yet. I can say that at Bauer World when we got to tinker with them, they were significantly stiffer than the current LS Edge holder. The trigger mechanism is 100% the same as is the actual holder geometry. One player is specifically using the new holders with his old steel. He showed me how he heated the holder with a heat gun and stretched them out so he could use his previously profiled steel. Pretty comical. 😉
  8. AS3/AS4 Pro kick point is between a traditional Nexus and Supreme. Higher than the Nexus but lower than the Supreme. AS-V Pro is more similar to a Supreme Ultrasonic.
  9. The ceramic side is fine, do not use the 400-grit diamond side. Also, make sure to hold it at an angle when knocking off the burr. There is no need to hold it against the entire edge. I know a lot of pro equipment managers that like to use balsa wood to knock the burr off too. If you are good enough at sharpening the burr should be almost negligible.
  10. These are amazing and cheap: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08VDCGYS1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  11. Since hockeymenders and island aren't doing repalms anymore, does anyone else have a recommendation? Need fresh gussets and palms, preferably digital.
  12. Here is my Superfeet with Gorilla Construction Adhesive. This is after 16 months and about 350 ice sessions with them. The adhesive is still grippy, like rubber, and has not even worn at all.
  13. That works too, but it doesn't wear as well as the Gorilla Glue option.
  14. The Unibody outsole is stiffer than previous generation carbon composite outsoles from the Ultrasonic/2S/1S but I don't think it's extremely significant.
  15. Interesting. I personally have never liked skating on a CAG, but a glide area mixed with a gradual increase of radii might feel good.
  16. You can add grip to the insoles using things like Gorilla Construction Adhesive. I do this for anything that I want to add grip to such as the forearm inside of the elbow pads.
  17. It's pretty much a 2S Pro skate (with a standard tendon) built with 12K Carbon Curv. They wanted their poster boy to help push the sales of the Mach.
  18. Bauer is 9 weeks. CCM is 48 days for Total Custom and 61 days for Total Custom Plus. However, certain sizes and models can be delayed further.
  19. Does this also adjust the pivot point, or do you do that manually if the customer requests such?
  20. Thats why I prefer using the Bauer Speedplate in all of my skates. Provides a lot of direct feedback from the ice.
  21. The official time frames without expedited ordering is as follows: ESTIMATED PRODUCTION TIME: CATALYST PRO (7 DAYS), SVH CUSTOM (14 DAYS), ALL OTHER SKATES (14 DAYS)
