  1. Yes, most accept returns if you have not used/damaged the product. I bought mine from Pure Hockey online and returned it to their store since I was in the area. Just be exstra careful when installing it and testing around the house. Not sure what sort of guarantee anyone has once you've tried it on the ice.
  2. I wear a small V08 (and medium in Bauer's). Cage and helmet size don't really correlate since everyone head and face sizes are different, I typically wear a large Bauer Profile II and Reakt cage, CCM cages never fit right, medium is too short and large too long, damn Goldilocks syndrome 😣
  3. They're designed to fit on all helmets in theory so yea it should fit. I bought one and returned it. I put it on my V08 and it just felt a little too short, like my chin was left exposed a bit (this was my concern since it was a "one size fits all" senior shield and, in my experience, I've always sized up in cages to get a proper fit). I flipped the clips upside down to see if that gave me a little extra length and it I found it wasn't as easy as it is with a cage... the flipped clips gave me a little extra length but they changed the angle (of the dangle?) and the shield didn't even come close to sitting in the J clips (no matter how I adjusted them) and also left 2 slits between the helmet and top of shield that were large enough for a stick blade to easily slide into since now it was angled outwards ever so slightly. So my conclusion was mostly that shields don't fit my head/face correctly so I'll stick with my cage, too bad because it was a nice looking shield.
  4. Might have better luck in the 2019-20 thread:
  5. Just saw this pic on Step's FB page with a different view of Kuch's skates, I don't remember seeing this one posted yet (and most images are blocked at work so sorry if it's old):
  6. Someone on S2K snagged a locker room close up of the skates, I don't want to steal his photo so here's a link to the post: http://www.sports2k.com/forum/index.php?/topic/5078-2019-2020-pro-stock-sightings/?p=364894
  7. yea, pretty sure the image of him with STX gloves/stick was from training camp, he was also using a Warrior at some point in camp but once the season started he's been in full CCM. From what I can guess you prob. won't see him in CCM marketing since he most likely didn't sign an endorsement deal with them (honestly that additional money would be pocket change to him).
  8. Teammate grabbed a couple nice ones of me last night with my camera, nice to be on that side of the lens sometimes (I'm a league photographer so I shoot between shifts, I try to teach some teammates how to use the camera in hopes to be in photos but usually the results aren't that great, last night I played with another photographer who knew what they were doing 🙂)
  9. I just checked out their website, yikes. Best part was their Mission Statement, looks like something Michael Scott would write.
  10. Good to know, thanks! I've never used a full fishbowl so wasn't sure, I just know with cages they have S, M, L and they all fit very different which makes it tricky.
  11. How is the sizing on this? I normally wear a large Bauer cage (Profile II and Reakt) and CCM cages never fit right (mediums are too small and larges too long). I see this shield is a one size fits all so just curious how they manage to accommodate all different face sizes.
  12. I've seen CCM post about it recently on IG and it honestly caught my eye. I've never been a fan of bubbles but this one intrigues me, wonder how they'd look on a Vector.
  13. Reminds me of a couple of Titans I had back in the early 90's with that concept, concave on the fingertip side and convex on the palm side.
  14. It kind of reminds me of Lego hair on his head
  15. Here's an E/P28, a Kuznetsov pro stock, and an old school Jagr Koho pro stock blade which I used to love (it's a straighter more closed toe curve so I included it for the hell of it) Curves by Jon Schusteritsch, on Flickr
  16. I don't get many photos of myself since I'm usually the one taking them (I'm a league photographer and shoot photos between shifts in games I'm playing in), but every now and then a teammate grabs my camera and manages to catch me (I've slowly been trying to train a few guys haha).
  17. yea, doing a google image search returned images that don't look quite like the one I have. I have a Warrior Alpha that I got from PSH last fall, I'll snap a shot of it next to a P28 when I get home later.
  18. If you want to go pro stock check out the Kuznetsov curve, it's basically a closed P28. I bought one from PSH to try but found out rather quickly it was too closed for my taste and stuck with my other P28's. Looking now I don't see anymore on their site so my post is useless haha, sorry.
  19. One of my favorite pieces of gear 😄 I found mine on ebay from a seller in the US for about $50 shipped but was very close to ordering from the Russian guy.
  20. The shells come in different cuts... the pant style ones like Nexus are a more boxy roomy fit to work well over pants, a girdle shell is generally a bit more fitted and sometimes has additional padding in the kidney area or a very thin piece of soft foam padding behind the thigh depending on the model (not sure exactly what this one does, it's far too thin to be protective and most girdles already have some protection there). Some of the fancier new girdle shells have velcro to attach to loops on some girdles, they're not necessary but some people like them (I come from the time before these and tried them once and haven't bothered since, the velcro closure on the front of the shell and the belt hold things up just fine and this way I can slide the shell on/off 1-2-3). As for the CCM Tacks shell... it has the velcro loops and also has some padding in the kidney area but it is all soft padding, the older 9K style shells went higher up and had plastic inserts in the kidney area.
  21. Maybe try one of the new Tacks girdle shells? I have a small pro stock one that I wear with my medium girdle and it is a much more tailored fit than my other shells which are all medium (Both Warrior and CCM shells). The Tacks one has a length adjustment which I let out and helped with the length.
  22. I'll have to weigh them later since I still have the Bauer's but I feel like they're similar in weight. I hated the Bauer's because I felt like they were really lacking protection wise (I even added some additional tailbone padding since it didn't feel like it went down far enough).
  23. Tried my Super Tacks girdle for the first time last night... overall I really like it compared to my old 9K. Couple of observations compared to my old 9K (both are size medium, also I've previously worn the following girdles: Easton Synergy HSG, Bauer One.8, Easton Synergy circa '03ish, and an old Bauer one from the late 90's)... - it's def lighter, something I noticed more as I started playing, it just felt more streamlined but without sacrificing any protection (actually felt more protective in spots: tailbone, kidney, and even the hips). - The thigh boards, I was concerned about them since they're now connected in 2 spots compared to just 1 on the 9K, I was worried it would feel more confined but I never noticed during my game. Another thing about the thigh that I didn't notice when I first tried the girdle on at home... it's much narrower/tighter, I have skinny legs and the strap barely makes it 1/4 way on to the velcro on front before I feel it's too tight. The straps on my 9K were so worn out with hardly any elasticity left in them so it took a few mins to get used to the tighter fit. - Spine protector... this thing is huge! The 9K barely had anything there so it's nice to have some added padding back there, I just need to remove the lower back padding I added to my shoulder pads (to make up for the shortcoming of the 9K's spine protection). I like that you can adjust it up or down a couple of inches, the girdle has a lot of great adjust ability. - belly strap/closure... this is odd to me, it's almost as if the girdle is confused whether or not it wants to be a traditional step in or a wrap style, personally I'm a traditional step in guy so I would have liked it to be closed like the 9K was but to each their own. - lack of sock velcro - this was the first thing I was disappointed in since I loved that feature on the 9K. I ended up taking some velcro and making a tab that connected to the existing loop side on the spandex short (the thigh board connection spot) that went down an inch or so where I could attach my socks to, it worked out great. So those are my first game observations. Overall I really like it and look forward to using it more.
  24. I just picked up a brand new pair of these in a trade so I'm going to bump an old thread. Coming from an old, well loved, 9K girdle my immediate observation was how much lighter this girdle was. I've tried it on and it feels really mobile right out of the box (bag?). I feel like the thigh pads are a touch more narrow/form fitting than the 9K which I'm liking, they wrap my legs better (I have skinny legs). My biggest complaint so far is I don't see any velcro tabs for the socks, that was one of my favorite parts of the 9K and I've eliminated any sort of garter belt/compression short I had used in the past in favor of a CCM pro jock, I guess I'll have to take a trip to Michael's to pick up some velcro and get creative with a needle and thread haha
  25. Nice pics @dkmiller3356, must've had some super amazing incredibly awesome photographer take them haha, it was nice to finally meet you in person!
