One question for you guys: How important is the color of the wheels for you? Has the sprung frames raised this importance? Would you be willing to pay an extra buck if you could get your wheels in your favorite color / print?

It's pretty depressing seeing those really nice looking 1300c's as I'm getting my sprung frames mounted on my Synergy 500s and then putting on any 76mm wheels I can find in my garage (probably old Kuzak Foamies)...how I hate being a poor university graduate! :(

Congrats on having some fantastic looking skates!

Yeah, those are the sharpest set I have seen yet! I sure would like to do something like that, but I am poor university student as well (will be a poor graduate this summer!).

Edit: spelling

Hi, new member here, although I've been reading (lurking) MSH for a while now. I decided to get these frames after reading all the great reviews on this thread. I just recieved them today and I can't wait to take them to my LHS and get them mounted on my Bauer Supreme 5090's. In fact, I virtually "mounted" them on photoshop. :P

I'll post real pictures when I get them done, hopefully tomorrow.

Ok, now I've had a lot more skates on the Sprungs, and gotten use to them.

Pro's- Amazing turns, nice stability, the best feeling roller chassis out there. Seriously it's more fun to skate in these than any other frame.

Con's- I play faster in my Red Star Alloy Hi-lo's. Top speed is actually a little better with the Sprungs, but not enough to make up for the lag in accelleration.

My quick first-step completely dissapears with the Sprung's.

If I played D, I would probably stick with Sprungs, since the mobillity and backwards skateing is very good.

its an ajusment that comes with more skateing with the frame ,your first quick step will find itself with more skateing and one game it will all be working,i felt the same way at first but after time your just playing and all cylinders are firering.at least for me.

Couldn't agree more! You have to give them a bit of time! They are great frames, you just have to get really use to them to use them to there full limits. Acceleration is fine, when you use the suspention properly.

hey, are there plain white versions of the chassis?

edit:

oh yah, is there any 65buck deal left? and would most LHS's know how to install this thing?

The new version coming out in about a month is plain white (I've put a deposit on one). The preorder deal includes either blue or red rocker arms, but it does appear that it will be available in all white as there's an image of the all white version on the site:

We still have enough of the close out model to be able to sell both at the same time, like normal hockey products.

And they come with very simple easy to follow mounting instructions.

And Patrick, any feedback from the other pair you were passing on?

We're getting T1 (first test) results from the new mould tonight. Probably take a day or so to dial in the correct temperatures etc. then we'll get T1 samples a few days later. Probably next Monday or Tuesday. A couple of weeks to test them and make any cosmetic changes (logos) we want to do, and then they'll start showing up over here. The site pre-orders will get them first.

The pre-orders are white with red and blue, red or blue rockers, but if anyone who preordered really wants all white that can be done too.

The pre-order deal only has a couple of weeks left.

Hey Sprungster I need some info...........

I have been holding off on buying the Sprung frames until the newer version comes out because I figured you were about out of stock on the older model. If you do still have the older model avaliable can you still do the colored rocker arms or can you mix them with like a yellow front rocker and a red back rocker?

Thanks

Rick Henry

I've been using them for a few weeks, getting used to them..

however..i found that as I was towards the max of the mounting range (size 10 Flexlite 12) one skate could be mounted well and the other there was just little room to really put the toe in a good spot (the guy who mounted them isn't at fault) ..unfortunately..since the left side is past center to the right ...I am going to swap to likely a flat frame (looking for an H400 type in a medium if anyone has one)

Why not just remount the boot that's not correct? It'll cost less with better results. Before you do it, you should take the time to skate on a bud's reg frames (your size) to see what the difference is going to be like when you switch back. Total bummer for 9 out of 10 skaters. They'll feel like bricks on your feet.

Also, the new frames could be mis-mounted just as easily. And everybody's large frame is quite a bit longer than their mediums. About 3/4" or more.

I'm loving my size 10 Supreme 70s, which are very similar to the Flexlite, and the length is excellent. Did you get the mounting directions with your frames?

JR I have a 405L as well..but it is loooonnng

Keith,

when I look at the boot there was no place else for the frame to go, it was done by the best of them, and I was even called prior to the mount alerting me to it..

I like the frames..again similar to my experiences with the Rocker, I am generating some serious wheel wear/flat spots on my wheels (not using my normal Revisions, another key brand that I had put $ out for in the interim)

If there was a way to mount it (and its only the right skate, the left one was fine) I would and go forward..

This is interesting. Is there something weird about the right sole? can you post a picture of the bottom of the boot?
