KOR Shift 1 and 2

Recommended Posts

Well, just ordered mine off of thehockeyshop today... I really can't wait to see what all this commotion is about first-hand. I know it's not gonna be here for some time, but I'm going to be checking the mail every day anyways

Cool! I'll keep my eyes on this topic to see how things go for you. As happy as I am with them everything wasn't perfect with mine in the beginning. I've posted on the issues before with a pressure point on my ankle bone that kep coming back and stuff. But, I was able to resolve those issues with a hair dryer and a tennis ball to stretch the boot. Everything is great now with them though.

So if you have any issues post them and those of us that have these skates may be able to help you.

I'm not worried about that... i'm gonna get mine from the hockey shop too, for 370 (unless someone here knows of a better deal), but i'm going to bake mine myself

$370 from The Hockey Shop? I went to their web site and they have the Shift 1 listed at $599 (CDN). Am I missing something here?

That's in USD. He wants CDN I think ;)

Thanks for the link, but I'm still seeing $599 CDN for the Shift 1 from that thehockeyshop.com link. I even went there through the site's menus last night and still $599 CDN. So... unless it gives you a different price, I'm still confused.

Is there some way they can make the price come up different for U.S. visitors to the site than Canadians? It comes up as $599 for me too.

I remember someone mentioning that The Hockey Shop uses your IP address or something along those lines and automatically redirects you to either their American or Canadian websites. Each have their respective currency and select merchandise as well I believe.

Prenny207's new, correct sample has been shipped and will probably be here early next week...

Thanks for the update. I was getting a bit antsy there with the temptation of the Vapor XXXX. But I told myself I'd try out the Shift 2s first. :)

I spoke with Vince a few days ago - he said you guys would start seeing some trickle out...should be more available to general public in 4-6 weeks.

I am waiting on a set related to a warranty return. Skating in Mission S500's in meantime - while I like the S500's I still greatly miss that Kor fit and feel. For those of you considering the skate..I can tell you I still have not found a skate that fits my foot so perfectly or performs like the Shifts. It really is a phenomenal skate IMHO.

Super stoked to hear you guys are getting some filtering out. Cannot wait for my Shift 2's....

I saw the finalized skate last week. It looks better than the show sample. There are two plates in the boot that hold the rivets to the holder, and they will come stock with Superfeet grey insoles.

Unfortunate that there's no longer a moldable arch, but it would be hard to do with rivets.

Well, maybe not - maybe they could've made an insole that was the same material as the Shift 1 one.

So what portion of the new skate is still thermoformable?
