NHL 08

They are going to be dark - the NHL didn't change it to white for home.

Should we just start a list of "interesting" decisions they've made about jerseys in the last couple years?

When you click on the buy section, it only gives options for PS2, PS3 and Xbox360.

I guess us regular xbox users are out of luck on this one

EDIT: sorry, my mistake, thats for NHL 2k8, not the EA game

Very nice Skill stick videos available on IGN showing off the new deke controls.

This is getting all to complicated, the lurning curve was huge for 07, plus my 360 died twice so I ditched the hole system...

I hope this will play good on PS3, I had a hard time with the 360 controler, I imagine that the PS3 setup will be worst

NHL 07's system was amazing once one took the time to master it. I imagine PS3 will be more difficult because both sticks are on the same axis.

No more love for the original Xbox for 2k8 or 08. Time to upgrade. This will be the last year for PS2 also.

Exactly, that PS3 might be chalenging !

It was so frustrating at first, I could not do anything right except pass, I felt like the game was to quick like when you play at a level that is too fast for you...

It looks so good right now. I do agree that it seems like it's getting a little more complicated though, holding this button and pulling this way and that on both sticks. I bet the old fingers are going to get pretty tired stretching in all directions trying to pull off the wonder moves. :P

I think it's gonna be awesome because people are actually gonna have to have skill and practice to be good. Rather than just hitting buttons.

It looks good, but how many times a game do you honestly see players jump through each other? Especially when the movesets will probably be available to every player.

I think that ea is smart enough to not give every player the same speed and we know it's speed that make those happen...

I think defence will be a chalenge, I just did not like that everytime the guy got hit the puck got hit too...

I hope your right, because nothing made me laugh more in 07 than toe dragging and spinning with Brashear down the ice. There should be a "creativity" rating where unless a player is at a certain benchmark 70,80,90 etc, they should not be able to do certain animations. Where do I apply for a job at EA?

Their site, or at least you used to be able to. A roommate did it drunk one night and actually got contacted to test, but I don't think that'd be a fun jub.

Isn't one of the main guys from EA Sports a UCF alumni?

It might explain why UCF is always over ranked in their games when they suck in real life. :P

Driving casual gamers away is never a good thing.

Anyone remember the old days of NHL 95? when there was only 4 or so buttons? Things are getting so complex that casual gamers are losing interest in playing, including online players.

I still remember playing online with the goalie AI being my number one problem. Same move scores every time.

Yeah, in NHL 2001 I remember dominating with the wrap around. You could score at least 10 goals a game that way.

Once you figure out the uber move for each game it just gets old, fast...

That's why I liked taking control of the goalies. One year you could come out and charge the guy with the puck and draw an interference penalty every time.

I remember this happening a few times!
