bringing back gear

Recommended Posts

I would bring back the whole Cooper techniflex line of protective, especially the gloves. I'd love to see a techniflex glove in nylon with modern materials.

I'm also on board with bringing back the original Easton Stealth. I'd also love to see Easton bring back the Zubrus pattern as well or the old Roenick curve from circa '96 or so.

I'd give anything to bring back the Daoust line of skates, especially the last go around of the '555 Gold' model, never had a skate fit me so well.

I'd love to see the Mega Air 90's come back. They are probably my favorite skates of all time. I'd also like to see Cooper Techniflex shoulders, FLAK elbow pads, and the Easton GX1350 gloves make comebacks. For sticks, I must say that I miss the 2250, 2260 Koho Revolution wood stick series along with the Innovative polarfibre shaft.

Actually, wish they'd also bring back the SLs and original Stealths (pre-CNT, pure black or black/silver).

I have one of those Stealth's, bought it a month ago, great stick even after using some 08/09 models.

I'd have to say Tacks skates as well, amazing skates.

I believe the RBK line is based off the pro tacks, but yes I agree, the line itself is missed.

I actually miss the aluminum eastons.

Koho 585's (that's 580 internals with 590 skin), Ed Cubberly's masks, Nike Flexlites ( TBL), TPS Omega woods (goalie or otherwise), and Vaughn player gloves.

Oh, and the Whalers' Cooperalls.

;)

I'm still look for vaughn player gloves(without "velocity" on the cuff). Also would love some Rawlings gloves.

Of course the R2XN10 and I never did get around to buying an 05 Stealth. I just want ONE! :(

I'd like to go back a year or so when all the hockey shops were blowing out XXX Lites for $75 and when they had XN10 shafts for $25 in the clearance bin. Oh and when the Montreal 4400 sticks were only $26 compared to the replacement that sells for $45.

But I've only been playing a few years, so I'm not nostalgic for anything really. Seems like all the protective gear out now is better than what they had then, maybe with the exception of some of the RBK stuff (if it strayed too much from the JOFA design). We haven't had much progress in shafts and blades though, same designs, just different paint jobs.

Oh, maybe I'd like to find an old pair of S500's to try on (especially at the $150 clearance prices they had when I first started out), and some Cooperalls for shinny.

Loved the Microns when I was younger, and I was also a huge fan of the original gold Synergy grip. I second the comment about the original Flaks, too, and if the Vapor 10's could be a bit more durable I'd want those around as well- no perforations in the steel though!

I was a goalie in the 80's early 90's, so I would bring back the Fuhr D&R equipment, my favorite of all-time goalie gear, dude had so much style. The first thing on my X-mas list was always D&R gear, I remember when I got my first catcher that looked like Fuhr's and I would cut and tape cardboard to make the cheater higher (funny how the pad used to be called the cheater)

I also loved my Aeroflex pads
