Crazy talk is just that, crazy. Occam's Razor being the number one factor in favor.

I just saw a Mythbusters episode where they took on several theories against the moon landing. Not that MB is any sort of authority or solid scientific base for being positive, but they did dispel some of the bigger points.

the question should be "did we land on the moon on july 20, 1969" because thats the date that truly matters. we've been there since then, but that initial landing was the important one (beating the russians), and the one that conspiracy theorists doubt.

You forgot about the Kennedy's having Marilyn Monroe killed and JFK being killed by the Mob for backing out on promises made in exchange for stealing the election.

I have fond memories of that day, both because of my father's glee as well as the chuckle I get if he only knew how technology would change. What I mean is he set up his camera on a tripod, pulled the shades of the bedroom down, then snapped photos with the old flash cubes of the B&W TV. He was so excited to capture that history.

If only he knew that one day he'd be able to buy the DVD, watch the special on HBO or check out CNN.com's videos page......

Sure, but none of that is the same as being able to say you saw it happen live. That is why folks really take pictures, not to capture history but as proof that they witnessed history.

I think I have watched that about 20 times, but I don't really believe it, however some of the stuff really makes you think.

We did not land on the moon.

The moon does not properly have any land, since there is no sea with which to oppose it.

Technically, we 'mooned' on the moon.

I take it that I'm the only one out who thinks this...

Every time someone mentions the moon landing, my first thought is of Jim Carey in Dumb and Dumber reading the framed newspaper on the wall and then leaves the bar screaming "We Landed on the Moon!!!".

I'd love to hear someone's argument as to why/how we didn't... Then again maybe I wouldn't.

Im sure one would be the lack of technology. But that is looking back with the benefit of todays tech. I watched a show on it, and they said the ships computer had the computing power of todays hand held calculator! The mission almost went bad when the computer couldnt handle all the functions it needed to, so they told it to only focus on certain ones, and dont do others. Damn scary stuff. Amazing what they accomplished back then with so little to work with.
