The red heel on the prototype Vapor looks awesome. Just the right amount of pop and identifiable from a distance/on TV while still being a classy looking black boot. I’m sure it will end up like the Ultrasonic with some horrible bright yellow racing stripes but here’s to hoping.

True gloves used to be REALLY bad for that. But the latest XC9 were a huge improvement and made considerably better, so I have decent hopes for these.

Wow, you know a Bauer rep. I'm impressed...

Verbero were notorious for this. Terrible. It seems more common in very flexible gloves that are meant to move a lot. If everything isn't lined up perfectly they end up all crooked. I hope True gloves and protective get better, they're a great company and I hope they can succeed beyond skates and sticks.

I have been thinking about it, and despite the delivery, there is some validity to his point. I made changes to try to find a better solution throughout the season and I’m not going to be stubborn just because of the source. I’ll give it a try Sunday and see how it works.

I hate that on the next hand where the fingers of the glove don't straighten out properly. Looks like his ring finger is going off to the side. That always bothered me in gloves and I always felt that it was poor craftsmanship

As everyone else has said, the new fit system is meant to allow users to choose their skates based on features, rather than fit. Supremes are meant for “power”. They will wrap the foot better (the reason for the removal of the injected eyelets), and have features like the reflex tongue and tendon guard meant to improve stride efficiency and power transfer. Vapor are for “agility”. They have features meant to enhance lateral skating like the asymmetrical last, injected eyelets (less wrap), and heel ribs. There will be slight variations in feel because of that, but they won’t be as big as they used to be. Someone like you who felt they fit in a Supreme best in the past may now find a Vapor in a Fit 2 to be much more comfortable and similar than before.

Right, that is my understanding as well. The new fit system allows each model to have 3 fits (1,2,3) instead of two (D, EE). But the features of the different models are still different from each other. I believe the Vapors are still asymmetrical and have the X ribs in the heel. Obviously as the OP has identified, they also have the injected lacing system. The Supreme boots have different features (traditional lace system, etc.).

As I understand it. Vapors are still vapors. The new Fit System didn't change the dynamics of the boot it just allowed people with different foot shapes to use whatever model they want. So those big box guys saying there is not difference are on crack. They likely mean there is no difference in overall fit, not line to line.

If you didn't like them before it's likely you still won like them now. The Fit system has allowed more people to fit into Supreme or Vapor, offering them more choice, but if you didn't like them before why would you think you would like them now? What didn't you like? The fit? The feel?

No particular order 1. Micron Mega Air 10-90 - Cool looking and comfortable skate 2. CCM 852 Tacks - think Niedermier's model 3. CCM PRO Tacks 4. Bauer One90 - went from pro stock CCM tacks to these felt like they weighed about half as much. First skates for me that gave me a "holy sh!t" reaction first spin on the ice. 5. VH/TRUE - first skates that truly fit my feet
