Skate replacement for Easton Mako
IPv6Freely replied to Ghostrider17's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Yeah, they’re worth it. Remember the feeling you got the first time you skated in makos? It felt like FINALLY something felt right? You’ll get that feeling all over again, at least I did. -
Welcome! There used to be a lot of Brown in the NHL, though there may not have been licensing fees back then.
-
I’d suggest you get fitted by somebody who knows what they’re doing, but I’m not touching this one otherwise.
-
Doesn’t work here either. What image hosting provider did you use?
-
Yep absolutely agree. How many goalies in the NHL are still using leather straps? That's Lefebvre's audience right there.

BTW for those talking about the cross grind rings, they did sent out an addendum to the manual and also printed new manuals for future shipments. They also sent out free filters to existing customers. I have no problem with the lack of a cross grind ring. For the once every couple years I might find the desire to cross grind, I can hit up the LHS. Just like I cant profile, I also cant cross grind. Really not a big deal. -

Not different, but that doesn't mean it's NFC, either. All good. I just wanted to clarify because the sudden usage of "NFC" in the thread. -
I’m not a huge fan. It almost feels like Lefebvre’s designs were the entire reason CCM was so far behind the curve on goalie gear. Even Vaughn had surpassed them in tech innovation and they tend to be as “classic” as they come. That said, I almost wonder if CCM will actually be stepping up their innovation game, now.

There should be no reason to use custom superfeet since the boot is shaped to your foot. As far as the narrow and low volume feet thing, the skate should be shaped to your foot. If it's not, you should be talking to your retailer. -

No need to search the thread, I've been following it since day one. That's why I was wondering why the sudden talk of NFC. As for PS vs ES, that's easy. It's all in the coding of the chip, regardless of protocol. -

Have we confirmed that it’s NFC and not RFID? I haven’t had a real reason to actually look at it for obvious reasons. -
That’s unbelievably dumb.
-
I have no idea what that is
-
Yeah I’m a bit confused how you manage to open the cage to get your head in
-
That cage looks wayyyy too big
-
I just had horrible customer service experiences with noicing. Would never recommend them.

Recommendations for websites that sell high density foam?

I’d buy stuff from Sara at Protective Athletic Wear: http://www.protectiveathleticwear.com/materials.htm -
Good god.

Had porch pirates steal two packages from my porch, and now our heat is out and won’t be fixed until the new year. Awesome!

Gotta get that mask painted!

I am a FIRM believer in superfeet. I just think they defeat the point of a boot made for your foot. -

I assume just so the boot is easier to get on and off. Sacrificing a bit of wrap to do so. I may do the same so I don’t need to keep using a shoe horn every time I put my skates on. -

Yeah I was a big superfeet user but it makes no sense in True skates.
