  1. Edited title to be more descriptive.
  2. This doesn’t appear to be related to goalies so I’m going to relocate this thread.
  3. Hmm, all good. Normally IG posts will embed though. Not sure why that didn’t happen this time. Oh well.
  4. But nobody asked for that information. Regardless, it’s good that the drama has finally come to an end.
  5. How does this add value to the question?
  6. It’s been so long since I’ve been to that dumpster fire. Absolute cesspool. There was a goalie forum that sprung up that looked like it might be promising but it’s basically become GGSU with a different cast... Click on a random thread and the latest 10 posts will have absolutely nothing to do with the topic of the thread. Anyway, I digress. We actually have some decent refs here. Though I imagine as a goalie our relationships are a bit different. Talking before the game and between whistles and stuff. Most of them I’ll send the puck down on an icing to save them the skate, etc. Others, they can skate back and get it themselves, and they’ll have to dig the puck out of the net after goals because I’m not doing it for them. But that’s only 1 or 2. Apparenty the ref in question here deemed the puck to be still in motion towards the goal and honestly, the video supports it. I just REALLY dont think so, being about 8 feet away when it happened. But if it looks like it was in the video, then I imagine it did from the corner where he was standing. Oh well, wouldn’t be the first time a goalie has lost his shit on a ref for something they’re ultimately wrong about. Certainly won’t be the last either. Oh, ended up with a game misconduct for abuse of official on the scoresheet.
  7. You could probably also have Sara at PAW make you something. She just posted this a couple days ago:
  8. Which equipment did he develop for the NHL?
  9. You can’t be serious...
  10. I dunno maybe I misunderstood and "okay you are in" doesn't actually mean I'm supposed to show up?
  11. I know talking jocks aren't the most exciting subject, but I came across these while actually looking for soft cups for wearing while playing softball, and wondered if anyone has ever tried them or what peoples thoughts about them are? https://unequal.com/uncup/ Unequal is pretty well known for their impact absorbing materials, especially their hat liners for MLB players. I'm just not sure how enthusiastic I'd be to "give it a try" for a jock. I think they'd be great as part of a goalie's double cup setup (though I don't use one - I have a Monster jock with a shock doctor cup inside and a big slab of maltese on the outside).
  12. Ours is 5 minutes. I stretch for about 2 minutes, stop pucks for about 1 minute, stretch for another 1-2 and if there's time left I may stop a couple more. If the players were more skilled so I could ask them to hit me with certain shots (give me a couple glove side, a couple blocker side, etc) it may be different but at this skill level I just take enough to where I feel comfortable and feel like I can track the puck and then I'm out (or I bail after the first shot that goes past my ear, whichever comes first). I can't even imagine 15 minutes in ANY division.
  13. Absolutely no wear at all. I create the knob using regular stick tape and just remove and re-apply the stretch tape once in a while. Zero wear on my gloves. To be clear, I'm talking about this: https://www.icewarehouse.com/Renfrew_Stretch_Grip_Hockey_Stick_Tape/descpage-RSRT.html
  14. Damn dude. I have no words... Good luck with everything and please keep us updated!
  15. Just the cherry on top for me. You've seen my other thread here. This stopped being fun a while ago. This was the last game of the season. Meaningless since both teams were already out of the playoffs, but I finished the season like I said I would. Now I have two pickup games I've already committed to unfortunately but I don't think I'm going to play in a league anymore. Oh, and this team we played is now 1-19, on that goal.
  16. Apparently over-skating a puck, turning around and going to retrieve it is a perfectly legitimate way of scoring a shootout goal.
  17. If they fit you and you like them then yes I’d say so.
  18. There’s already a thread for this, linked above.
  19. Would actually be better to name the shop so people here know not to get work done there.
  20. Always stretch wrap over a grip made of normal stick tape. Takes 2 seconds to replace when needed.
  21. Has it changed, or are the colored parts still just glued on? edit: never mind, I forgot that the areas colored now are different. Probably would be pretty easy to change now.
  22. I highly doubt that's possible but you never know until you ask.
  23. We really don’t need a breakdown of NHL player endorsements in this thread. Please keep it on topic.
