  1. Same. Both legit. Bought from them a number of times
  2. I use a PSH case, basically the same as Howie’s that I’ve had for a number of years to hold extra steel. I double them up in each slot. I typically keep this in my gear drawer at home for backup/pond steel. Never had an issue
  3. Agreed shock doctor is easier to use. Warroad tops are more breathable but it takes more effort to get the extra sleeve part over your elbow pads
  4. I was able to get a set of the actual True protectors so I returned the helicopter tape. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help
  5. Appreciate what you’re trying to do, but clearly we’ll agree to disagree. I’ve made two comments about having already bought into 3D printing technology, provided examples of my products I enjoy, and you’ve bashed both. What you like and what I like are clearly different. That’s not to say either of us are right or wrong, it’s personal preference
  6. Apart from the Tacks X helmet, I’ve owned multiple pairs of adidas 4D shoes, ASICS Actibreeze sandals, and a number of smaller items like lens hoods for cameras. I work in automotive where our sister company experimented with 3D parts made from titanium. So I am all about 3D printed products and do feel it’s the future
  7. Perhaps, although the CCM logo looks to be in the same spot it normally is. If the EQM shortened the pants 1-2” I’d think the logo would be noticeably closer to them hem
  8. Very cool! I didn’t think the reakt 3D printing was as spongy/soft as the nest tech with CCM, but I’m sure some people will love it. how can I buy a 3D printed Wilson basketball? Those were awesome
  9. Look at images 3 and 5. There are a set of stripes underneath and another on top as if he was wearing a padded shell on top of normal pants.
  10. Bedard wearing pants with an additional padded lower as a secondary shell? Just noticed this myself, but looking at other pics of him since joining the Blackhawks, he’s been doing the same. Seems like an awful lot/excessive amount of padding on the pants, no? https://www.instagram.com/p/Cw1GNMxOG-s/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  11. Have you bothered to try on either skate yet?
  12. I originally grabbed a can of Krylon gloss clear coat as it was the closest option I could find. After two days and two coats of spray the stick still felt tacky and not in a way I prefer. Ended up driving to pick up a can of Rustoleum satin clear enamel spray paint, gave it two coats, left it overnight, and the stick seems perfect now
  13. Thanks guys. I evened out the existing grip so there weren’t any rough areas and threw on some automotive clear. We’ll see how it fares once everything is dry
  14. After thinking I escaped this problem with my True AX9 shaft that I use for roller, I’ve noticed the grip becoming an issue. For those who spray painted it, did you use solvent to strip the finish beforehand? If so, just acetone and a rag? For those that sprayed it, what specific spray paint did you use?
  15. The new dial is nice and easier to use, but it's not like you use it all the time so I wouldn't base your purchase on it. The old dial is just fine
  16. May want to look at the Genetix insoles then. They came with my Cat Pros and they are definitely well padded. Too thick and cushiony for me, but if that’s that you’re looking for they may be perfect https://www.truetempersports.com/en-us/hockey/genetix-skate-insole.html
  17. Yeah, great value when you consider that. I’ve never actually taken advantage of their replacement policy because for the life I get out of them, I’m more than happy to pay and continue to support them. Current pair is close to needing to be retired, but they’ve lasted 5 years
  18. Thanks! The liners are curved like the one on the right. But since they’re hidden I didn’t care enough to match them. Having a sewing machine makes it quick and easy to do tho
  19. I can’t speak to Easton socks since I’ve never worn them, but they are thin
  20. I like darn tough lightweights socks. Been using them for 6 or so years and anytime I try a different sock, I go back to these. https://darntough.com/products/mens-merino-wool-run-micro-crew-ultra-lightweight-running-socks
  21. Summer season just wrapped up so I washed my gear and got around to sewing on patches on the lower part of the removable liners. Wouldn't mind sewing some directly onto the bottom of the shins themselves, but would have to stitch by hand which I'm not interested in doing. Thanks for the tip! We'll see how these hold up
  22. It’s made of the same material that True uses on the Catalyst Pro skates, which is similar to helicopter tape or real thick clear bra. I’d say it’s pretty durable based on my experience with Trues. Cost you’d want to reach out to Flooded Customs since he’s the one that makes them.
  23. The last two times I went to the Kings summer sale it seemed like it was more fan merch than anything. Handful of game worn jerseys and sticks, small selection of any usable gear. Definitely not as good as the last EQM sale I remember during Covid
  24. Cool behind the scenes look at True’s factory. Wish companies did this more often as its always cool to see how things are made. The last one I recall seeing was CCM when the FT1 came out
