Way ahead of you. Already had my ACL done once and various other minor sprains and tears. I deal with bouts of soreness and stiffness from time to time. That's when I wear a thin neoprene brace. Otherwise, I don't use anything, even on the knee that had the ACL recon.

Don't look now but the P46 is gone too. For those coming from a Bauer P14. The P90TM would be the closest option currently available at retail. Before moving to the P90TM I gave the P14 a whirl. I really liked it but it was just so damn hard to find.

Least you got plenty of options. I've used the ShockDoctor compression sleeve in the past. It worked well for hockey.

For sale, 1 Bauer Nexus 1N pro-stock hockey stick, Right handed, P28 pattern, 82 flex with gloss coating. Stick has been cut to 61 7/8th inches from tip to butt. It was used maybe 5 times in total. Asking $110 shipped within the US. Sold!

CCM FT3 is on close out for $159. That P14 (Toews) is long gone. Sure you can still find some but they are few and far between. As for flex. Try a senior 70-75 flex. I find the 70 flex sticks to be just about perfect after cutting them to length.

Yes they do, but not on all gear. So make sure to check to before you buy. I bought their top end shoulder pads a few months ago. I wore them twice and returned them. They didn't hassle me about it. IW does free returns as well. I don't think you can wear them like you can with STX gear. I was hoping the new FT4 elbows would harken back to the old RBZ stuff. They look and feel like nice pads but the sizing was really weird. Much shorter than I expected. I ended up returning them. Looks like I will stick with my trusty old Ultra Tacks.

Oaf, that's pretty steep. I'd probably try a set of they offer them as replacement runners. Not sure I'm ready to go all in on that skate. I worry a bit about the durability of some of the new materials.

You can't just have any old schmuck work an automated machine. If you're honing steel post sharpening you need to have some experience and a decent set of hands. I own a Sparx and love it, but it's not as simple as it's made out to be. It's not for the kitchen and it's not as simple as press a button and go.

Since the 100k has yet to hit stores it's hard to compare. IMO, the most impressive thing about the Ribcors has been the comfort. The memory foam ankle donuts are sublime. Thats what got me looking into them. The performance is what got me to stay.

If the player already has a new pair and refuses to switch, don't force the issue. He may actually prefer a softer boot.

So these U-14 players not only know the difference but can feel a difference as well? Coming from someone who has a 12 year old, I find that extremely hard to believe. Yes, ccm steel is bad but going to Step for players that old is way overkill IMO.

Yep, that's the way to go. I've shipped and received plenty of sticks that way, never a problem.

This was my experience as well. Almost word for word. Eventually I ended up back on the larger holder, 254. I was a lot more comfortable and no longer needed to F with profiles.

All that can be handled. There are a lot of business that operate under a build to order (BTO) model. I don't know if CCM has the staff to do so, but it's certainly doable. Cost wise, I bet it's closer than you think. Yes labor in NA is higher but you save money on tariffs and shipping. You're already paying $1k, what's an extra $50-60 bucks.

There is a youtube video out now explaining the fit profiles. They mention, ccm said the old fit system, fit about 75% of all players. Thru customer feedback and foot scans. They feel the new fit system will fit 95% of players. They talk a little about stiffness, nothing note worthy. The Tacks line fit will remain the same until it gets updated sometime next year. Also, plenty of good shots of the new Ribcor and it looks glorious.

It was cost and weight that did the lace locks in. They were a staple on every ccm skate until they entered the weight game.
