  1. With the chance to hoist, does 91 dress again tonight?
  2. Boom! Bang on. That might fly with customs, but not retail. The sizing thing is total BS. You should know exactly what you are buying. It's not hard to do.
  3. Not sure how dialed in that online fit thing is. The results seemed to be largely based off your current skate. When I put in a Vapor as my current skate, it give me Jetspeeds. When I put Ribcors as my current skate, it gives me Ribcors. The tool would be awesome if it did all that with pics.
  4. Curious, why on earth would you buy these, or any other skate for that matter, if you have custom made skates?
  5. Doesn't he need to play at least one game to get his name on the cup?
  6. Your issue sounds like it could be a width issue. The boots a little too narrow at the end leaving you feeling cramped. I'd rebake the 8.5's without wrapping them. Just do a standard bake and see if the forefoot opens up a bit. That might help with the crammed feeling. Try to do it at the end of the day as your feet swell over the course of the day. To triple check the length. Pull the innersoles and stand in them. It's just a point of reference. The other thing to check is holder size between the True's and your ccm's. They should be close if not the same size. Again, just a reference point.
  7. That's probably their opinion or how they perceive it. Which is far from reality. Back to skates before we get a finger wag. 😉
  8. Depends on context. The insoles themselves are not heat moldable. Can you leave them in during a skate bake, I suppose. I assumed he meant the former.
  9. Completely different and there is nothing budget about them.
  10. No, they are not bakable. You do have some flexibility with which insert you use and where you place it.
  11. They said during their last game against NYI. If include all the OT's, TB has played am additional 6 games. Don't sleep on Dallas. They got size and scoring and a fairly mobile blue-line. They took out Vegas & Colorado.
  12. Hmm, I don't know. With the right tech I think it could actually work, and work well. How is it any different then what True is doing with their custom process? I'm sure the last thing CCM wants is a bunch of pissed off customers and a pile of returns.
  13. It's a pretty easy transition. A bit more agility with better stability.
  14. Yup, and the pricing on the Ribcor line makes it a much easier pill to swallow. I wouldn't say the Ribcor is less of a skate. It's a different skate. If he's happy and comfortable why change...
  15. Yeah, it's a total crapshoot.
  16. Didn't some of the Mako tech make its way into current Bauer skates? The flexible tendon guard on the Supreme, no?
  17. When it's your own kids chirping, you care. LOL
  18. I think you summed it up, they're a house brand. If you want to survive, you need real products that can stand up to the competition. Ask yourself, why am I buying a Sher-Wood....what differentiates it from the other brands? There has to be something more than cost or availability. If that's all you are, a cheaper alternative, you're time will be short lived. I hope I am wrong.
  19. Unfortunately, yes. The problem I see with the Sher-Wood's of the industry are the products they are bringing to market. They're neither compelling nor different and they're pricing is on par with their competition. So why am I buying a Sher-Wood...?
  20. Man, one of these smaller companies needs to get their crap together and start making gear exclusively adults playing beer league. No one under 35 gives two craps about Sher-Wood. There is however an entire segment of the market that wants old school gear from an old school brand like Sher-Wood. When it comes to sticks it's about value and durability. Make a decent performing stick that hold up reasonably well and sell it for $149. Hell, I'd buy one just to try it. In other words, do something different. I don't understand why they don't get it.
  21. FS, One pair of lightly used Bauer APX pro pro-stock gloves in Tampa Bay blue black and grey. No rips, no tears, no smell. Thumb loops and liners are intact. Hate to sell them seeing how I just got them. They're just way too big for me. $99 $75 shipped anywhere in N/A. (Will consider shipping outside of NA if the buyer covers shipping costs). SOLD!
  22. Didn't bauer did something like that with the xxx-lite? Make it a Titan 2020 and I'm in.
  23. Gloves for sure. Keep the modern tech, but give me old school color schemes. Modern gloves are boring and drab. I loved those tan mitts the Stars wore for that outdoor game, same for the throw back Jets gloves from the heritage classic. An old school CCM bucket would be badass. Give me one of those with modern day padding. Don't skimp, I want the red and blue CCM logo too.
