  1. I thought about shimming the heel but with added height on the Lightspeed plus the LS3 I decided against it. Wanted to keep the set up as close to what I had on my APX as possible, so this was/is perfect.
  2. Yup 272 on 7.5, no problems. New holes needed of course but that's it. The 272 fon't hang they fit perfectly.
  3. No issues getting the Tuuks on, obviously new holes needed but no problems. I specifically waited for SummerJam to try these out before I bought, very happy with the decision.
  4. Seccond in with Super Tacks, got 272 Lightspeed Edge holders put on and all is right in the world. Also added SuoerFeet Carbon insoles, didn't notice them which I guess is a good thing but also didn't notice any profound improvement, still a step up from the stock memory foam insole. The most noticeable thing was post skate, very warm rink and we skated for a good 1.5 hours and the liner on the skates weren't even the slightest bit wet or damp. Very impressed considering how hot the rink was and the amount of sweat.
  5. Just put the carbons into my new super Tacks, tough to say if they had an impact as this was only my second time in the Suoer Tacks but the good part was that I don't notice the Suoerfeet at all. No pain, discomfort, etc. No added fatigue either while skating in them which I had sometimes noticed previously. I'm coming from custom Superfeet which I'm going to rotate in with the new Super Tacks so it should be interesting to see after mixing those in.
  6. I just picked mine up yesterday. Fit wise they're perfect, I'm coming from pro stock APX that were 7 3/4 and the 7.5 SuperTacks fit a little bit more snug but not enough to warrant a half size jump. I was a little worried about the depth of the boot but after baking them the skate wrapped really well around my foot that the depth is not a concern. No hotspots or areas of discomfort to speak of, my only gripe would be with the footbed or cut out piece of memory foam they're calling a footbed. I'm going to use my custom Superfeet to see how they feel but ideally I think the Bauer Speedplate might the ideal pairing with these skates. When I tried the Superfeet at Summerjam the only issue I had was with the holder and footbeds. Luckily I have an extra set of light speed holders I am going to throw on next week but in the mean time I'll give the CCM holder a whirl.
  7. I'm assuming they are bake able. I thought these were tabbed as a competitor to speed plates. I could very well be wrong, and it wouldn't be the first time.
  8. That blade shape reminds me of some of the Brett Hull Pro stocks I had.
  9. I was surprised with the Inno background Base didn't have an option with the 'Mogilny' curve.
  10. So we're going to have the Warrior QRL glove and CCM QLT glove...Are these guys even trying anymore? Joking aside CCM protective I've seen has been real nice, I'm in line for new elbows and think I see my next pair.
  11. Finally a tapered shaft, gonna need to stock up on a bunch of these in 75 flex! And I am glad someone else is old enough to remember the Rawlings zipper palm, I am gonna go back to yelling at those kids to get off my damn lawn now.
  12. TSR is total sports repair in Salem, NH, DK's is DK's Hockey in Enfield CT. you can find them both online. Teams usually advertise them on their websites towards the end of the year.
  13. Its the overseas version of the 'easton' cuff, its not that bad, plus tapered mesh gussets as well. They need to get broken in but after that should be money. The Halls on the other hand are just pure perfection. All over, eBay, Team Sales, TSR, DK's, Hockeymonkey, Prostockhockey.com, Buy/Sell Forums, other contacts I've made from these boards, etc.
  14. I'm gonna demand a trade to your men's league team! Nice bags
  15. Tomas Holmstrom would wear those proudly JR!
  16. You should be able to mount the chassis on the boot and then dremmel out some space for the wheel to spin on the outsole. I've mounted the Hummer chassis on multiple boots with a composite outsole and every time I had to dremmel out a spot for the second wheel. The integrity of the outsole was never compromised when I did this and all of the skates held up fine.
  17. 2 things, 1. I think that chassis is too small for those skates. 2. if you are going to use that chassis, yes it looks to be mounted too far forward.
  18. Got the wife a Forester a month back as our Baby Transportation mobile...that thing is a tank in the snow! Contemplating getting an older model Subaru and trading in my jeep.
  19. My 13 year old self just lost his mind seeing this. Great pick up!
