The Marsblade inline chassis is for 'training' not in game use. But speaking of inline, despite this new holder sounding intriguing I am always skeptical of moving parts being associated with a chassis or holder. I've been around long enough to see the quikchange or whatever it was called where you could swap holders from ice to inline, the rocker chassis, mission vibe chassis, & sprung chassis. All sounded good in theory but with the moving pieces it was only a time before something went wrong or broke.

It looks like a 2 piece holder if you will, the top part stays in place and then the bottom portion that connects to it has a sort of spring/cushion that moves with you during your stride, turns, etc.

On the topic of home fix up or flipping shows they are not to be watched if you're trying to by a house in the greater boston area. With that being said looks like the fam is making a move and dipping our toe into the world of home ownership. Lets just hope this doesn't result in numerous posts in the venting spot thread.

Oh lets hear the specs Monty! Those look great, the white binding looks amazing. More teams need to bring that back.

7 weeks post op from neck surgery, cleared for PT. Doc said everything is looking good, road of recovery rumbles along!

2 week postop doctors from my neck surgery, X-rays look good & doc is impressed with how well my strength has returned to my right side. Still can't lift anything more than 5 lbs, but the best news is I can start weening myself off using the neck brace and once I'm comfortable without it doc said I can start driving again. They're baby steps but slowly and surely I'm getting back on track!

Im kicking off 2017 going from the venting spot to the sweet spot. The scary spinal/neck surgery that came out of the blue was a success. My surgeon was excellent and he said it's only a matter of time before I'm as good as new. All I can do now is take it slow and heal up. All I can really say is if you got something health-wise going on, don't wait, get it checked out. And if you have to push for an MRI, X-RAY or whatever, do it, it's your body and it might save your life.

Ending 2016 with the quite the bang, major surgery. Had a lingering stiff neck and some weird feeling in my arm, turns out it's herniated discs and I need neck fusion surgery. Going under the knife Thursday.

That reminds of the old late 90's Easton Zubrus curve. Might have to check one of those out.

I know everyone loves their huge Toe kink, Crazy Ovi, blah blah blah but what about making some OG Gretzky patterned blade or even a Crosby pro curve?

CCM Super Tacks Skate Initial Thoughts

Didn't really make much of a difference to me. Obviously more forward lean but I messed around with it when tying my skates loose to try and alleviate the foot pain. -
CCM Super Tacks Skate Initial Thoughts

I'm about a month or so in with the Super Tacks and have to say so far I'm very happy with the skate. I had a short rough patch of intense foot pain with skates, centered on the arch area and forefoot of the skate. It made skating pretty unbearable but I pushed through each skate trying to tie my skates loose, leaving the top eyelet undone, etc. Ultimately I swapped out the footbeds for the CCM Medium Arch footbeds and haven't experienced any pain or discomfort since. When I was experiencing the foot pain it was when using my custom Superfeet and the new Carbon Superfeet. I intend on going back and giving those footbeds another try but for now the CCM insole is what I am sticking to. Outside of that the skate has been fine, no hotspots or blister areas or lacebite. The other thing that I've been really impressed with is the liner of the skate, I've skated in some pretty hot rinks and I sweat like crazy but every time I take the Super Tacks off the liner still feels bone dry. -
Coming from Vapors (original APX), I didn't feel any difference in pitch when switching to the Super Tacks. I haven't used Nexus or Supreme so I can't comment on that reference.

CCM Super Tacks Skate Initial Thoughts
the_game replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I thought about shimming the heel but with added height on the Lightspeed plus the LS3 I decided against it. Wanted to keep the set up as close to what I had on my APX as possible, so this was/is perfect. -

Yup 272 on 7.5, no problems. New holes needed of course but that's it. The 272 fon't hang they fit perfectly. -

No issues getting the Tuuks on, obviously new holes needed but no problems. I specifically waited for SummerJam to try these out before I bought, very happy with the decision. -

Seccond in with Super Tacks, got 272 Lightspeed Edge holders put on and all is right in the world. Also added SuoerFeet Carbon insoles, didn't notice them which I guess is a good thing but also didn't notice any profound improvement, still a step up from the stock memory foam insole. The most noticeable thing was post skate, very warm rink and we skated for a good 1.5 hours and the liner on the skates weren't even the slightest bit wet or damp. Very impressed considering how hot the rink was and the amount of sweat. -
Just put the carbons into my new super Tacks, tough to say if they had an impact as this was only my second time in the Suoer Tacks but the good part was that I don't notice the Suoerfeet at all. No pain, discomfort, etc. No added fatigue either while skating in them which I had sometimes noticed previously. I'm coming from custom Superfeet which I'm going to rotate in with the new Super Tacks so it should be interesting to see after mixing those in.

CCM Super Tacks Skate Initial Thoughts
the_game replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I just picked mine up yesterday. Fit wise they're perfect, I'm coming from pro stock APX that were 7 3/4 and the 7.5 SuperTacks fit a little bit more snug but not enough to warrant a half size jump. I was a little worried about the depth of the boot but after baking them the skate wrapped really well around my foot that the depth is not a concern. No hotspots or areas of discomfort to speak of, my only gripe would be with the footbed or cut out piece of memory foam they're calling a footbed. I'm going to use my custom Superfeet to see how they feel but ideally I think the Bauer Speedplate might the ideal pairing with these skates. When I tried the Superfeet at Summerjam the only issue I had was with the holder and footbeds. Luckily I have an extra set of light speed holders I am going to throw on next week but in the mean time I'll give the CCM holder a whirl. -
I'm assuming they are bake able. I thought these were tabbed as a competitor to speed plates. I could very well be wrong, and it wouldn't be the first time.
