  1. Mack, I'm assuming the Flux-capacitor was involved with acquiring those Grip Lites. Insane pick up.
  2. Nice, tapered wood blades, finally they brought them back. Gonna have to stock up on some of those.
  3. You're forgetting the 1300 model as well which were the nylon version of the 1350. I agree with Mack, 1350 were my first 'glove love' as well.
  4. Wow that must be the 'legal' version of Hull's curve. I had a bunch of them back in the day (still have one left), and on my hull's they are similar to that with a toe curve on the end. The original z-bubbles (metal matrix) with those blades were one of the greatest blade/shaft combo's I've had. I'll try to get a pick up of the Hull blade I have when I get home.
  5. Pure hockey has them if you are interested.
  6. Not sure...heard from a friend Pure Hockey had these, then heard someone called and Pure hockey said they had none in stock. Gonna have to head over there sometime and confirm what the deal is.
  7. Original post deleted...sorry
  8. did they have any other pairs when you were there? thanks! The pair that I got were the last pair Wesco had in the white/red color scheme.
  9. New Gloves, picked them up at Wesco a few weeks back. 15 inch, 4 rolls in white and Red (don't be fooled they are not BU, label said they were for South Kent School)
  10. Ahh, you got it JR! I mentioned those Revolver Chassis back in the thread I just couldn't remember the name of them. Hop in the way-back machine and have a look! Revolver Chassis
  11. Adding to the Mission innovation (and I know its roller stuff, but still): Vibe Chassis 714 Glove with removable/adjustable cuffs (although I liked these gloves a lot, never caught on) Also, any Combination of half cage/half visor or half visor/half cage. And CCM skates with the swappable chassis of an ice blade to a roller chassis (can't remember the name)
  12. Um, I'm going to have to disagree with you there slapshot. Those bands could be considered key to a 3rd Wave Ska collection. The real "keys" to a ska collection would have to include the Toasters(especially when Coolie Ranx was in the band), Operation Ivy, 2tone era bands like the Specials and Madness, then the classics like Laurel Aitken and the Skatallites, and Desmond Dekker. On top of that I would have to mention a few other bands like, the Pilfers, Slapstick, The Slackers, and the Mad Caddies. Its too bad the mainstream chewed up Ska and spit it out in the late 90's, early 00's. These days were only left with a handful of bands touring and putting out good stuff. Who knows, maybe another wave of Ska is right around the corner.
  13. Pirelli was my teammate in college and really good friend. I wish I was in town to attend the ceremony. Rob was an amazing kid, happy to see his memory will live on.
  14. Care to elaborate? Sounds sad. Sure, he was one of those hardworking kids, it took him a year or two to crack the varsity, but one of those players who'd go through a wall if the coach asked him to. Total team player, and his family was still heavily involved in the program after he graduated. He said he couldn't envision himself doing anything other than being a US Special Forces operator, and gave his life in Iraq. We live in a pretty small town, but it's been unbelievable to see the community rally around his family. Hey Greechbc9, Are you talking about Rob Pirelli?
  15. Big supporter of Voxtrot, saw them live about 2 years ago in a small venue and knew after that they'd get popular. If you like Voxtrot, check out a band called the Magic Bullets. also, I just got an early copy of the new As Tall As Lions EP which is nothing short of amazing. Mike Watt worked with ATAL on this EP and I highly suggest checking it out.
  16. My Gear: Helmet: Mission Intake and the precursor to that the Itech one Shoulders: don't need em in mens league or roller hockey elbows: Winwell something(they are from Bantams and I am 26) Gloves: Eagle CP94 Pro Return Marek Malik(Vancouver), CP94 Rob Blake Pro Return(all black), Mission Wicked 3, Tour G-7 Pants: Bauer 4000 and Mission Thorax girdle for roller Shines: TPS Armour Skates: Graf 703 and for roller Bauer One70 with a tour cateye chassis mounted on. Sticks: Warrior Dolomite(Whitney Pattern), Starksie(federov), Synergy SL grip(Heatley), Synergy II with synergy II blade(forsberg), Stealth grip '05 version(pro stock with blanked out nameplate)
  17. I am with JR, give me a nice lighter pair of Mega Air 10-90's. I replace the lining with that of the lining of the daoust 555 i had. probably a composite outsole like vapor XX or XXX. not sure about the tongue though, probably go with the mission tongue or maybe the tongue from Tour code 1 inline skate. slap some tuuks on them and we are ready to go.
