I noticed on Saturday night...the Kostitsyn Bros have "KOSTITSYN" on the cuff of their gloves...(obv.) but they also have a Belarussian flag. I haven't seen country markings like that outside of international games.

Bauer rep was fitting me for my skates telling me how CCM has to paint Ovie's sticks now because he is using NBH. I don't know if this guy was blowing smoke up my ass but he seemed pretty serious. He was telling me that NBH walked in and offered Semin a deal and gave him a new set of Nike Golf clubs with his name embroidered on the bag and everything and Ovie just sat there wondering what CCM was doing to make him happy. I also heard that Ovie wants out of CCM from quite a few other people and wants to start wearing Graf again? I dont know if any of this is true but I would not mind seeing Ovie out of his wack painted Tacks to look like Vectors.

these game used stick pics dates back to 7/07 and they're clearly CCM sticks. you can tell by the texture on the blade.

Why would Bauer be bribing players with Nike clubs? I'm sure they can get them cheap, but it's not like they're Nike hockey, it's been said several times that Bauer has been as distant from Nike as a witness from the mob.

As interesting as all the CCM/NBH gossip may sound, the fact is a set of golf clubs would not exactly entice the GR8 to go to NBH. Everything CCM does for him is custom...including his very lucrative CCM sponsorship contract.

I am pretty sure his CCM contract is specific about limiting him from other manufacturers. Saw an example up close at Kettler this year.
