I hate how pictures are attached via URL. Haven't read through this forum and I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but MLX has prototype goalie skates. I found a clear picture of the skate in the NHL gallery with Hiller using them in their game against the Blackhawks.

It looks like they just say CL, Which I like. Like was said above, those are personal touches that will only mean something to Ovi, and not someone else.

I understand why CCM wouldnt put LS2's on a retail skate of theirs, but it just seems kinda funny that the "Ovechkin clone" skates they sell, dont even use his holder and steel.

wow... fyi, I've read all 117 pages of this thread, maybe not the MLX thread, but I wasn't the one who made that comment. I dont know what your problem is, but I only brought up an obvious reality. If you want to ban me for that, go ahead, you have the power, but that won't make these boards any better, neither would my removal make them to be so.

I've always wondered why hockey companies haven't always done this. The best players in the world offering their feedback and opinions on a direct copy of a retail item, what's not to love from the company's perspective?

Perhaps the technology wasn't there before (pre-internet, early internet), companies didn't have the bankroll to produce "pro-stock" retail items, or maybe there wasn't a marketable star large enough to move product...

We all know Federov rocked Graf's under those white NIKE skate shells... but every consumer lining up to buy them likely did not.

I guess I'm just glad to see a product come to market exactly as depicted/worn/played on NHL ice surfaces.

I'm just hoping for some Crosby specific elbow pads to be honest.

Because most, if not all, like broken-down equipment, and even then most can't figure things out.

AO didn't sit there and sketch...he told him what their needs were and they addressed them. That pad is a variant of the v10.

No, I was just always under the "learned" impression that when Federov was skating in the white NIKE's (Air Accel Elite?) they were actually Graf skates that had been dressed up by NIKE cosmetically for advertising purposes.
