Never knew the dolomite was being discontinued. Even more surprised at the fact that it is being replaced by the AK-27

It's not..it's a dolomite repainted as an AK27. The AK27 is not available as an OPS.

The Ak27 OPS is a pro stock only stick that will not be available in retail. Only available to pros ( Ryan Malone, Marc Savard have used them)

You sure about that? Can anyone else confirm this?

I posted this in the Warrior catalog thread, but this thread might get a little more traffic.

The shop at the Kings' practice facility has a couple of Johnson and Modry AK27's from last year. Both of theirs are setup the same way - it looks like a standard shaft with a short extension piece at the bottom, with a tapered blade. If I remember correctly, the connections aren't even painted over or anything, it's pretty easy to see the extra piece between the shaft and blade.

I guess these guys really did want the non-tapered shaft setup, they don't look like Dolos with a paintjob.

you honestly think Crosby skated in those?

THose are not crosby's skates, he doesnt use that liner in his skates nor is the pump functional, he also doesnt use that steel, his picture tells the tale!

And his foot is probably larger then the entire skate.

I don't think anybody actually thought he wore them, pretty sure everyone was being sarcastic.

Perhaps you don't understand the significance of this shaft, Mack. in 2006, 94% of NHL goals were scored with this stick. Wayne Gretzky hand braids each one of these sticks himself. When jesus himself returns to this earth on judgement day, he will be carrying two of these sticks over his shoulder.

I can't not post this even though it's not ebay they've been posted enough times already

Don't forget to read the discription it's great, and one of the guys comments... "obviously but they made these for him and he didnt like them so he went back to the rbks" (reffering to Kovalev) hahaha the guy is truly oblivious to what they are... somehow....

Looks pretty stock to me, also he's been wearing a 9500 since like game 3 of the regular season. When he did wear an intake at the start of the year, it was the pro, non-screw adjust one. Could be wrong, but I doubt that was put together for Hossa.

"HELEMT DOESNT COME WITH TEAM COA BECAUSE IT WAS NOT USED BY THE PLAYER"

If it's Hossa's helmet, but Hossa never used it.. is it still his? :huh:

At least he's not starting the auction at a million dollars. If they actually go near that price I would say that it's a pretty good pick up and a cool piece of memorabilia.
