A Finish flag on the shoulders would have been a nice touch and added a little something extra over just plan white.

I meant across the top of the shoulders, where it is dark blue. So that looking down, the white would look like the flag.

I like the dark Finnish jerseys except for the blue on dark blue--a thin white border between the two would have been perfect. Something simpler for arm stripes, along the lines of Sweden's usual two strips (maybe two white stripes with dark blue in the middle?) but that would be way too traditional for this ugly sweater party, as someone called it a few pages back. The flag stripes on both jerseys look like clunky first drafts that I can't believe made it to production.

That is the new MCI line from Graf. At this point at retail, only the 7035 is available as the top model. The top models needed to be delayed a year for certain reasons.

They will actually be available with three different boot stifnesses at retail when they come out.

Noticed tonight in the Kings/Canucks game that Mike Richards was switching between different helmets. At one point he was wearing a 5100 with no front numbers and then went back to his usual 7500. Thought that was kind of weird, I've seen players go back and forth between different sticks in a game but never helmets.

His helmet broke. Grange gave him the 5100 as he fixed the 7500, so he wouldn't miss a shift.

Noticed the other night that Filppula has adopted the Zetterberg style Warrior Franchise, which is odd because he never used them while playing alongside Zetterberg in Detroit.

Noticed a few players doing that. Might be due to players using new (shorter) elbow pads since they can't roll their sleeves up anymore. Have to cover the pads.

Also saw a few players (like Zach Parise) wearing shorter cuffs on their gloves and I presume longer elbows or slash guards.

All speculation.
