Received my Sparx sharpener today. Here's an unboxing and first use video. Literally 15 minutes to unbox and begin sharpening, including time to read the instructions. So far - impressed. I havent skated on Sparx sharpened blades yet (not until next Thursday), but I will report back with my experience once I do. Colin

I scored more goals last night (2) in our summer league game than I did in all of my spring B league (1). Our team won 3-2 and the case of beer! Time for another 10-month slump. haha

I just picked up at reakt 75, upgrading from a 7500. Change was night and day. 7500 was a large and the padding was coming off. The reakt is a M and fits so nice. I dont need to move my helmet every time I stop now lol

As of yesterday, I've been working as an EMT for one full year. (technically I began orientation on my birthday last year, but the 13th was the day of my first shift on a truck.)

Scored a goal last night. All I can think of is how perfect the pass was to me for me to be able to flip it over the goalie's shoulder like I did.

For me....since most of my days are spent shuttling my three kids (9/5/3) around the metrowest area...it is the ability to stick their skates on the machine and give them a quick buzz that has me excited. Hard to drive 35 minutes up to zwickers or an hour up to Bob at NoIcing when you have little free time and all you need is a quick sharpening. Truth be told...The thought of running an illegal skate sharpening ring is very enticing....I can be the Walter White of Skate Sharpening and start a show called "Breaking Blades"
