I haven't had any issues with that ( but then never have before) only way I can describe the tongue its a bit worn from use but that's about it no problems there.

I've been wearing mine since about a month or two after release (3-4 hours a weekend) previously always worn the Ribcor line. After getting them baked they felt really good could feel how well they were shaping to my foot.No hot spots after first skate just a bit stiff so difficult to get them tight enough. Only took about a month (could be less cant remember) to fully break in had no discomfort through all of this time, rubbing or anything. The boot is a bit lower cut than the Ribcor's so no need to skip the top eyelet. Fits my foot incredibly well and honestly find it more difficult to get my foot into the boot, but once its in feels great hardly any negative space. The boot is really light and stiff and haven't had any issues with durability ( the carbon fibre near the toe cap looks like its cracked but I have been told this is just part of the moulding process). cant remember the name of the new eyelet thingy but its defiantly noticeable and hugs your foot a lot more. have been hit with pucks on the back, side and toecap if there was any pain it went away very quickly. Only the one on the toecap left me with a small bruise on my big toe. The only issue I had was with the superfeet carbon insoles sliding forward in the boot when trying to put my foot in no idea why but changing to the CCM custom support insoles fixed the problem. These have been the best pair of skates I have had buy far, just wish I could have gotten them sooner.

Decided to upgrade from my U+ Pros after 5 years. Hope this turns out to be a great decision

Definitely go down. It was recommended by @oldtrainerguy28 who did my fitting. I've gone from 3/8 in my old skates to 5/8 and now at 11/16 and considering 3/4. Give 5/8 a try you won't regret it.

Now you just have to find an eBay seller with exactly the same feet shape as you who is selling VH skates cheap and you'll be all set!

They don't hide anything. It's right on their site.

Fair enough. I haven't worn them, but did handle and try them on. The Super Tacks didn't fit as well as the Makos in the toe area, but the heel lock was good. I don't think they would wrap as well and I think I would miss the flexible tendon guard, but I do think they would be more protective. That's only speculation though. Hopefully someone who has used them can answer your question.

Mine did not require new holes. Used exactly the size it required. Remember that SB 4.0 has same rivet pattern as Tuuk. As long as you match the holder size you should be good. Had to expand on one of the holes.

Seccond in with Super Tacks, got 272 Lightspeed Edge holders put on and all is right in the world. Also added SuoerFeet Carbon insoles, didn't notice them which I guess is a good thing but also didn't notice any profound improvement, still a step up from the stock memory foam insole. The most noticeable thing was post skate, very warm rink and we skated for a good 1.5 hours and the liner on the skates weren't even the slightest bit wet or damp. Very impressed considering how hot the rink was and the amount of sweat.

Had my first skate last night with new super tacks. Wow. I was probably mis-fit into 1X 8D as it was, as my forefoot/big toe were taking a beating on the stitching of bauer's toecap. Its funny how some things can feel so good while in the store and after a few months begin to cause you physical pain. Huge difference in terms of forefoot space and toecap - toe interaction with an 8d super tacks. With the super tacks, while i have an instep issue using the stock insole, were otherworldly in terms of footspeed and power transfer. Going to put my speedplates into my supertacks and give that a whirl. But as of now, pretty happy I snagged a demo pair for 300$ off retail.

But Dougie - they are Black and Yellow, gotta rep the MSH colours!

The JetSpeeds actually have a narrower forefoot/toebox compared to the Super Tacks. I agree with Kovalchuk that Super Tacks are deeper than Supreme but not a huge amount. I get lace bite without a gel pad in the 1S' but unless I tie the Super Tacks too tight across the top of the foot, I'm golden without the gel pad (all sizes equal). e

I wear size 6-D in NXG and the Super Tacks were also a 6-D. I have a wide foot but narrow heel. I always squeeze the ankle quarters when baking the NXG to lock in the heel better. It always works. With the Super Tacks, the heel was snug without any squeezing the ankle quarters during the baking, the width was fine and comfortable at the front, and the length was no problem at all. Toes were fine, no cramping. One other thing I forgot to mention was the footbed in the Super Tacks. I have been using Superfeet for a long time. The ST footbed is comfy memory foam which feels like it grips your foot to help it sit firmly when you skate. Another positive plus for the skate.
