Between racism and the need to constantly start petty arguments about everything, some new people don’t fit this board and I hope they can change or they get asked not to post here.

Just reading from some of the stuff here. Baking isn't the solution for ill fits. The boot shells themselves aren't that formable unless you take a heatgun to it. Baking is to speed up the lining material packing process. There is about roughly 5mm width in the boot that will give. But the foot last shape won't change. If you look at Scott Van Horne's TF9 tutorial on reducing boot by 1/4 size, he's an artisan and a hacksmith, I wouldn't be surprised if boot size issue are from those method, work for some, and not others. If you have 70 percentile feet. Med high arch, long toes, big heel bone, you won't have issues. Heck any brand works. But any feet outside of those parameter, man, no one knows the pain, literally.

I figured that went without saying but if it needs to be said, then yes. Everyone move on.

Right. As does everyone else involved!

Oh thats good to hear! Yea the mako toe cap was wonderful! I haven't tried Catalyst because my TF9 are still pretty new. But I think I'm just going to bypass all of it and go custom next time. Which realistically is still 3-4 years away most likely at this point.

There's still a solid round tubular core to a grommet or eyelet rivet. Basically you are sliding a round tube into a hole and then mashing the other end to hold it tight and in place......nowhere for the rivet to go unless the underlying material around the rivet is compromised in some way, no? My guess is that these were over tightened right after baking ( unless it was stated otherwise earlier in the thread ) and or a lot of force was applied to the eyelet's and composite material while still warm and or skated in hard while still warm.

Yeah, they just seem very obsessed with particularly targeting the agent, that video in particular was slightly cringe. It’s super weird too because the same guy does videos for Yew wax, and in one video he will be blasting Bauer for their sticks costing a premium price more than verbero, then in his video for Yew he will go on about how their bar size is small and the price is higher than the competitors is ok because of their technology and quality of components.

Yup... never said any of those things

While I HATE to defend Verbero, especially with what they have been doing on socials recently... Cypress was the OLD Verbero and totally different company and sticks compared to the ones they are selling now. So you can't really compare the 2 unfortunately.

When things don't work out for you and you basically call out people's fixes and solutions out as hacks even though they have helped a tonne of people on here. We will continue to call out your dumb comments. Just because you don't like True skates doesn't mean there aren't good and doesn't mean there is some mass conspiracy here. It is VERY clear you knew ahead of time they would work for you, but went ahead and then complain constantly once you got them.

Either over baked via time or temp or both and or laces cranked during bake. Or all of the above. Or walking or leaning too much when the boot was still warm. From the pic all the eyelets shown even in the forefoot area damaged. No idea why they are pulled upwards though. Makes me think it was already damaged prior to your game and it was cranked on upwards during the bake and not from the actual ice time. Either way it's botched and you're lucky it has a 90 day guarantee. It's weird you didn't notice some kind of damage before skating on them because I'd find it odd that just from playing alone, a day or more after the bake would wreck the facing like that. Did you bake them yourself or did the store? If the store did then at least you'll be safe from all liability and warranty issues ccm might kick back at you. Imo all skates should be baked the way true recommends with their skates in terms of using a stretch wrap as it'll save the eyelets from over tightening during the bake.

LOL, you have no idea. I've bought and sold more sticks than some shops I've been to. What I've learned is it's way more important to find something that suites ones own skills. I don't think a stick will make you a better player. I do however believe the wrong stick (pattern, lie, flex) can negatively impact your game. Funky pro player patterns are fun to fool around with but they hardly ever work and in the off chance they do, now you are stuck combing the earth for John Smiths sticks. And, no matter how many you have, you always feel compelled to buy more.

Guys, take it to PM's - all the purse swinging is cluttering up the thread .
